Q: I am a 20 year old male, a full time student in college, and a successful, functioning heroin addict. Looking back now, It is hard to believe that I let myself get to this stage. I have always been a good student, my teachers would be shocked to learn whats really going on. In addition to my decent school career, I have a 3.4 gpa and am sending out applications in November, I also work part time. So I have been lucky in the fact that I haven't let my addiction turn me from my dreams to be successful, but I am still an Addict.
I have been using drugs ever since I broke my back on New year's Eve of 2006. It started with pain killers (Vicodin, Percosets, then Oxycotin), but before long it moved to black. I've been extremely successful at hiding my addiction from everyone that is close to me,(parents, friends, coworkers) but I do not want to continue to lie and steal from them. I have recently started talking to a therapist about this and have gotten medical help to quit using, they gave me Suboxone which has worked wonders for countering the withdrawl symptoms.
So I decided to quit using and was all amped up on getting clean, and after being straight for 2 weeks, I used the other day, then the next, and then the next. Now I am starting all over again from step one, and am now only 1 day clean!!!
My biggest fear in the entire world is that I will not overcome this and let myself fall back into my old ways.
After being clean for 2 weeks, it seemed harder to go about my day then it did the first week. It is extremely hard to get out of bed in the mornings, lately I've been blowing off school to just sit around in my room all day watching TV. It just feels like I am missing a part of me that only using can fill. I guess I feel that way because of how powerful opiates are and due to how long and hard I was using them for, it simply changed the biochemistry in my brain.
Has anyone here ever been through anything like this? And how were you able to do it while still keeping busy in the daily grind that is America?
I mean can I still get up at 7am every morning without taking a hit to get me through the day?

Q: ok, this guy and i have known each other for about 3 years. we met on myspace through a third party but only officially met this weekend. over the years we've been friends but only started gettin pretty close a couple months ago. he lives about an hour and a half or a little less away from me, and came down to see me friday night and i went to see him yesterday and hung out with his friends and family. im 17, and he's 19. saturday is my birthday. and im not doing a damn thing, which is pretty pitiful for an 18th birthday. friday night his family/neighbors are having a party/get together and he asked me to come and celebrate my birthday with them. the problem is he wants me to stay the night [not just me, most of the people that will be there are]. now running this by my mom is gonna be WAY difficult. he and i do like each other, but in keep in mind that we're not going to be do ANYTHING sexual, other than like kiss. im a pretty modest person and i do have standards for myself, im not some sleeze and he's not all after that. im still a virgin.. i was raised to not be a hoe and my mom knows this. im not one who says that and then gets caught up in the moment & it happens anyway. no, i know where the stopping point is. ive been in the situation before and nothings ever happened. my mom trusts me and lets me do just about anything i want to. but shes very uptight about me stayin over at a guys house, even if its just a friend or for a party or whatever. i'd have to get up at like 8 am the next morning and leave for work anyway, so yeah. his family drinks, their like the social drinkers. im not a big drinker, but you know. i hate the taste of alcohol honestly. so the point is nothing bad would happen. but i still think my mom wont go for it even though im turning 18. i really want to see him bc like i said i do like him and hes in the army so hes not home much. i have two options here.. either tell my mom the whole honest truth and hope she says yes which is doubtful, and miss my chance to hangout with him and be bored on my birthday, or say im staying the night at a friends and then go down to where he lives, but i'd feel really bad about lying about something like that. i dont know, any advice?

Q: (Sorry but this is a little awkward) I'm 14 and I've never had my period. Recently, it's been feeling...uhm...sort of itchy and uncomfortable... and it's gotten me really worried. It hasn't been anything but stinging. Then, a couple days ago, there was a little tiny bit of blood when I went to the bathroom, and it really freaked me out, but I calmed myself down. It also really hurts when I wipe myself... Then, today, there was a lot of discomfort, and when I went to the bathroom, my underwear had a huge stain from something in it, and when I wiped, the tissue paper had a lot of blood on it. So I just put a wad of toilet paper in my underwear and went back to lunch (we were at a restaurant). When I got home I changed my underwear, and I also put one of my moms pads on. So, just a minute ago, I went to the bathroom again to check, the pad was a little...yucky with something, but it wasn't so bad. So I wiped myself off and I couldn't believe how much blood there was. I'm getting really freaked out and I really need help. Tomorrow I have to go back to school, and I'm nervous that it's going to happen again during school, and I'm wearing light colored shorts tomorrow. So, I need help--is it my period? Did I just hurt myself, and will it go away eventually? What should I do before I go to school? Sorry about the length, but I'm all paranoid.

Q: Ok this is a really, really awkward question... I have a cousin... actually, he's my 4th cousin... and he rides my bus, and last year (in 7th grade) we became pretty close and everything (that was the year we figured out we were related). By the way, he's about half a year younger than me and in a grade lower. And he is really WRONG. Like, he's really perverted, but he is hilarious. Q: My cat is now about two years old.
We've had him for a year and a half.
He's very house trained, he uses his litter box, doesn't scratch furniture etc.
Recently he didn't really want to eat anything, but now he's eating fine again and all is ok.
The thing is though that he keeps peeing in random places. Like once on the side of our sofa, then in the corner of our island counter in the kitchen, in the middle of my parent's bathroom, middle of a carpet, etc.
He still uses the litter box but I'm worried.
He's never peed anywhere else in the house.
The only things that could affect him could be the fact that we moved houses, but that was at the end of April...and he adjusted quickly.
Also during the summer holidays he used to go out in the morning and then come in the house for lunch and then just go in out and out during the day. Now that school starts we let him out once me or my brother get home from school.
He doesn't stay out during night either.

So yeah, any ideas what could be causing him to pee in random places over the house?
Or should we take him to the vet?
