I was just wondering if anyone had a suggestion on a very good straitener and if so where can u get it? My hair is dirty blond, very thick, notty, and wavy.
Hey there! One of the best by far is a Chi. It's pretty expensive though, but totally worth it. Another good one is any straightener in Hot Tools. Usually those are about $35. Hope I helped!

ok well im a white female and i was thinking about getting my hair relaxed. my hair a a little wavy but not that bad its just some what thick if i dont straighten it. i was wondering 1 if anyone would or wouldnt recoment it and 2 wat to expect like how straight it would be/stay and wat i would have to do to get it straight. the lady at the hair salon told me my hair should be permanently straight
Hey! I got that done a while ago too. Hair relaxing stays for about a few months. Its about $50 (but may increase depending upon your hair length) and it takes about 1-2 hours. Hair relaxing is extremely bad for your hair. It is meant for hair of african americans. There is a different kind of straightening perm called a Japanese straightener. It costs A LOT more (about $500-$1000) and may take about 4 hours. It is worth it though because it stays for about a year or even more. If you do decide to get a hair relaxer, make SURE you don't get it wet for about 48 hours and also make sure the hair products you use won't damage or mess up your hair/perm. Hope I helped!

Hey haha, well first I wash my face with this speacil face brush, and I put just any face wash on it (I use apricot scrub by the way), then put in my contacts (they're hazel-green-brown-ish? haha), then I put on my BARE make up (foundation), I use a big brush called a Kabuki, and then I use a make up sponge, then I use a small brush called a concelar brush around the eyes and other small details. Then I use a brush called Maximum coverage, and I put on the "warmth" (which is somewhat like blush, but more natrual) over my cheeks, and the "Mineral veil" (which is like finishing powder) all over my face for a finishing touch. All these things come in a certain package you can order (www.bareminerals.com I can explain everything about it later!). Next, I put on eye shadow. I usually wear a bronze shimmery color (natrual, but still noticable), and if I have a color scheme in my outfit, I add a touch of that color. All of this can change depending upon your eye and skin color though! Then, I curl my eyelashes, and put on 2 coats of black or dark brown massacra, then I put on my eyeliner on the bottom of my eye only. I use black, NYC eyeliner ($0.99, haha no need to buy expensive ones, this is just as good! You can buy it at drugstores or wal-mart or target, or wherever!). After that, I put on my lip-gloss, nothing too crazy, usually a nutral color (unless im wearing like a totally pink outfit), and always adding a bit of clear lipgloss for extra shine! Haha! Hey-i was reading through your column and i really liked the advice you were giving so i was wondering if you could help me out with a situation i have:
alrite so beginning of this year (i was still a junior in high school) i met a guy (a senior in high school who's now a freshman in college) through my best friend's boyfriend and one nite after all 4 of us hanging out i ended up hooking up with him. When it started out, neither of us was looking for a relationship, i was just looking to gain experience so i figured it was a great idea. Long story short-i went pretty far with him and got attached-towards the end of the school year we found out we both really liked each other, we went to prom together and were hooking up monogamously for about 4 months but he never asked me out-finally middle of summer he said he didn't wanna lead me on but he really didn't want a gf when he was gonna be leaving for college in a month-i told him i understood but naturally i was heartbroken. So i didn't see him the rest of the summer, i've just heard stories about him hooking up with other girls which killed me...literally but i finally finally got over him (its been a long long road). Anyways he's back for thanksgiving break and i haven't gotten play in awhile-so this friday we are getting together-im really worried cuz when i see him i don't know if i will have the strength to turn down hooking up with him, but i definitely know i don't have the strength to get over him again-at the same time....i desperately need play LOL. What do u think i should do?!?!

Hey! Haha well..if play means what I think it does..then haha you don't really need to use him for it. But anyways..that summer it seemed like he didn't really want to be with you =/ because if it really was because of not wanting a g/f during the summer..he obviously had a few. I have wavy hair that is very thick and very frizzy in humidity. I live in Maine we have pretty humid summers. I am looking into getting a striaght perm in the summer. Does anyone know:
1.) If they have harmful chemicals that are carcinogenic or damage your hair?
2.) If they don't get frizzy even in humidity
3.) How long they last
4.) How much they cost
5.) Anything else about them!

1.) Yes there are harmful chemicals and it damages your hair alot.
2.) If you put the right products in it, then nope!
3.) They last about..4-5 months I guess.
4.) It depends where you get it done really. Mine was about $50..but it depends on how long your hair is too.
5.) It takes a few hours to do..and you have to use certain hair products because some can really damage your hair if you get the perm. All this info I gave you is for a hair relaxer..there is also a japanese permanent straightener thing. It lasts alot longer, doesn't have alot of harmful chemicals, but it takes a long time and it can cost up to $500!

Hey! I suggest making flash cards and put them on your mirror at home and keep some at school and just look over a few before bed! Also don't study all the night before..pace your self! According to studies..you have to look over the material 8 times for it to become knowledge in your head..so looking over them a little bit each day will help alot! Hey! Haha awe. Well to tell you the truth I am a very organized person..I make sure I right everything down that I have to do. Haha also singing, dance, and acting are all at school. I play year round soccer..but track and cross country are for school too..and they're only for one season! Piano..haha well I only have that once a week and I practice before I go to bed. You can plan out each day..make specific timeings for each activity! Hope I helped!

Hey! If she is eating fine, but still thinks she's fat then it's all good. She's just going through a phase and will get through it soon enough. If you see her not eating, this could be a problem. Hey! Haha I used to have the same problem, I dance, sing, and act! First I started doing things in front of my friends..then the group got a little bigger..and a little bigger..and a little bigger. Just take your time with each group until you are confortable with it, then move on. Also look at the top of the audience's heads or look at a spot on the wall on the other side! Hey! Aww thanks..haha. Ok the website is bareminerals.com and there are different deals..like you can just buy one foundation for about $20 - $25 or something. What I bought was the deal that gave 2 colors of foundation, 1 warmth ( kinda warms your skin like blush ), 1 mineral veil ( like a finishing touch ), 3 brushes, and a tracel brush and case for about $60 ( about $75 with S&H and tax and stuff ) It also came with a DVD to show you how to put it on! erm...ok, I'm 13/f/ca, and next year I'm going to be a freshman in Highschool, I'm wanting for hopfully some...encouraging words. I want to get rid of the hair on my upper lip. I don't want to get it professionally done, I want to do it myself. What should I try to remove it (I don't want to use a razor).
Hey! You can buy a wax kit from a drug store or wal-mart. Also you can bleach it..but that won't remove it...it will just lighten it to make it not as noticable. DO NOT BUY NAIR it damages your hair roots..it's just as bad a shaving it..and it burns and may give you a rash and irritate your skin! I suggest getting it professionally waxed..thats jut me though!
