Here in America, we're free. Now, although we can vote and write whatever we'd like, there is a problem. If we don't like someone, we can't shoot them or put them in prison. You need to be a communist country to do this. Our freedom, however is all thanks to one group-the patriots. You may thank or chastize them, but it was the early American leaders that brought about today's America.

do you remember me? the gal who liked that boy saad. you told me to drop you a line so i am. the thing is i finaly managed to ask him out and he sed no! it was really bad only becuase he sounded really disgusted. my friends say it's his lost but it's really my lost cos he's buff n i'm not as good as him. at 1st i was really heartbroken but i've now kind of gotten over it. if you don't remember me check the questions that you've answered and you'll remember. every time he goes past i feel really ashamed and embarassed. the good thing about it is cos he's shy he hasn't told any of his friends...thank God! you've beena real help you've helped me understand i'm supposed tolet him getlost! thx!

i have a really odd habit of looking at peoples mouths when they talk. i am fairly short (often eye level with the chins of my peers), and tend to read lips in a noisy environment or other instances where i have trouble understanding people. Friends have commented on this before and i would really like to stop. Do you have any tips as to how to break this habit? thanks! (link)

Reading lips is a great talent, i wish I could...but here's a secret. When I have to make speeches/hear speeches, I look at the person's forehead/eyebrows-to the person, it looks like you're looking them in the eye, and you can focus on what they are saying instead of concentrating on maintaining eye contact...

i have a game this tuesday against pioneer and i hear they are good im a 1st string and a setter im very nervous what about if i mess up and we lose what should i do so that i wont get REALLY nervous befor the game??????????

Setter? I take it you play volleyball? Me too, although I play back row, center.
The best thing to do is music. Bring in warm up music and listen to it before the game, and when you're playing, focus on the game, not the players, if that makes sense.
And if you lose- just shake it off, and forget about it. If you're focused about winning/losing, you're gonna lose.

Try a pixie...with green tights, a short brown skirt, and a green tank top, glittery makeup...and do your hair in a bun if it's long, and peak it if it's short...some cute wings from a thrift store will do the trick...

This one guy is really nice. I like talking to him. The problem is that he's only in one of my classes, and we don't exactly seat close to each other. But we ride buss home, that's the place where we get to talk. Sigh... I known him for only 2 weeks. And I would like for him to ask me out. And I"m not asking anybody out ever again >.< I have his cell phone number, but he has mine too. Should I call him?

I read your question, and I realize that you don't want to ask him out. But maybe on the bus ride, ask him what he's doing the next day, and maybe he wants to grab a coffee with you? That's what I would do, but there's always the choice of just waiting for him to call...

Don't fret about what God's given you.
Milk and protien and pills don't work.
Wait until you're older- if your body doesn't grow (which it will, at least a little) think about plastic surgery. Mind you, I said think- it's a permanent choice, and in my opinion, not a very good one. Be happy with what you've got, and be confident- that'll make up for it all.
But for now, try wearing a padded bra- and for your butt, exercise will tighten it up.

My friend Robby and I were hanging out this weekend. Just for fun we were playing with his sister's barbies. (She didn't care. lol) Most of it was plain insane and meaningless but we did have one character that was supposed to be ourself. Long story short, our characters hooked up. Some parts sounded like the truth, but I can't be sure. Is he shy & using that to hint around, or does it not mean anything at all? I know I ought to talk to him, but I don't want to sound stupid if he was just doing it for fun and he doesn't like me like that. I've never really thought about dating Robby... Until this came up...

Guys can be so complex. He might've meant nothing, but it could've also been his way of showing you that he liked you.
If you've never thought about this Robby, maybe you two wouldn't be good together. But then again, maybe you just never considered him as anything more than a friend.
What I would do is just watch him closely- see if he drops anymore hints. If it does, go ahead and ask him- although it'll seem like it's mortifying if he doesn't like you as more than a friend, you'll get over it in time. And if he does like you, try him out- he might be perfect for you. But then again, maybe you two are just better off as friends...but you'll never know if you don't try.

I just started my Sophmore year of highschool. From the begining of Freshman year 'til now, I've lost MANY friends for stupid reasons. Mainly because I got into a fight with one girl that I was best friends with and then she got all of her friends to hate me too. Which was about 15 people. How nice right?
Anyway, I have a reputation of being a bitch. Because.. Well, I CAN be. But I'm really not when you get to know me.
I really want to try to change my reputation on being a bitch, I want to show people that I AM a good person and attempt to make new friends. But I really need help on changing my reputation. Any ideas? (link)

I've found that lunch is one of the most important times for social revenge/building up.
Sit with someone new; talk to them-everyone needs a friend, and by showing one person you can be a good one, perhaps your favor will rise.
And even though you were probably right, apologize to the girls you fought with- having enemies (even just a few) is never a good thing.

I'm having a camping party by the sea for my 18th birthday in July but the only campsite available is quite expensive.
The charge is £5 per head for camping and I want to invite 20+ people. My total budget for the party is £100. I'm providing food and drinks, and even tents for some people. Do you think it would be reasonable to ask my friends to help out with their camping fee and if so how much should I ask them for? I thought about asking for at least £2.50 each otherwise I'll have to severely limit the number of people.

Whenever I babysit, the parents always ask me "How much do you pay per hour?". The truth is, I don't have a rate, and they always overpay me, which I don't mind :D, but I think it's impolite to take more than 15 dollars an hour. How can I politly set a reasonable babysitting rate that isn't too much or too little? (link)

Usually, it depends on the number or kids/how long...a decent rate is $4-$5 per hour per child.

ok here goes, i have been friends with my best friend for 4 years. two years into our friendship we got a little serious, we started hanging out more and eventually we kissed. this made us even closer. later on we hooked up. though we were so close we decided not to go any further with our "relationship" because he had a girlfriend. First, I would break up with your boyfriend of two years, because you're doing both him and you a disfavor- him, because you don't really love him, and you, because staying with him may make your best friend feel like you love your boyfriend too much to be his.
Then confront him-but be gentle, because if it turns out he doesn't like you, I'm guessing you still want to be friends with the guy. But if you tell him what you did for him-dump your boyfriend-and how you feel, there's a damn good chance that he'll feel the same.

I have been working in my dads company for the past month and a half. There are all these guys that work there and I was friends with a group of them. I hit it off with one of them and we always talked and worked togther when we could. He talked about all his problems and I would talk about mine. We would give eachother advice. I finished work on Friday coz Im going to uni tomorrow. We got real close on Friday and when I was leaving we hugged for ages and then it lead to us kissing. He said to me that I couldn't leave now. I don't exactly want to go to uni coz its on the other side of the country but I am going. He asked for my number and then he left. I can't stop thinking about him. Hes a really nice guy (the nicest I ever met) and we got to know eachother pretty well.
I don't know what to do. I want to see him, but I can't because Im leaving tomorrow. I havent got his number. I want to come home nxt weekend to see him.
Im scared I will never see him again.

If he likes you as much as it sounds, you've got a good chance of making a long-distance relationship work.
Perhaps he can go to college out there, too? If not, flying in on weekends and phone calls are good...but keep in mind that it doesn't work for everybody. But-please excuse the cliche- when there's a will, there's a way. You both seem to have hit it off, and a few hundred miles isn't going to change that.
