Q: I'm a 20 year old girl and I've found myself in what seems to be a fairly unique situation... I've recently made a guy friend, who was limited to being a friend since day one because he made it very clear he was interested in one of my friends(very much my opposite). Our friendship got really strong really quickly. But I'm not sure where the boundaries are, I find myself attracted to him, and its not helping that we sometimes sleep in the same bed. If he didn't constantly remind me of how much he likes this friend of mine, I would have though he was flirting... We talk all day, most days, and I spend every free hour with him... There's a constant sexual tention, but that might just be from my side.Really hoping there's someone who understands this situation. Thanks :/

I think he enjoys the attention, affection, and affirmation he gets from being around you. Based on what you've described, it's probably pretty obvious to him that you're into him, and that always feels great to all of us. He may return the feelings, but is distracted or conflicted because he's also interested in your friend.
Unfortunately, I think it's more likely that, either on purpose or unconsciously, he's using you a little bit because you make him feel good about himself. In other words, he likes how you feel about him because it's nice to be liked, but he doesn't return the feelings.
My first piece of advice is to talk to him. Ask him if he's interested. The worst that can happen is that you remain friends. If you don't feel ready to do that, I would recommend putting a little distance between you. Stop the sleepovers, cut back on hanging out, etc. It might help you both to have a little time apart to figure out how you really feel.

I sometimes have the same problem, even if it's just because I watches the last episode of a show I really love. I think of is as "missing my friends" from that event/show/whatever. I think it helps to focus on something else that won't get you too involved for a while, like reading a funny book or starting a small crafty project.

Just remember that if he didn't like you already, he wouldn't be your boyfriend. So, try to see the cool things about yourself that he sees.

A lot of people find that birth control pills lower their sex drive. Otherwise,, I recommend investing in a vibrator. A woman has needs, and if your husband isn't able to meet them for medical reasons, there should be no shame in taking care of things yourself.

There are several songs from the show "Damn Yankees" that are in that range. That show also offers the advantage of being something different than what a lot of people are doing.

Q: My sister-in-law is getting married and moving away at the end of the month. I've only known her for a year now, and we've just started to bond. I'm really upset and depressed that she's moving and I want to do something for her. The problem is, I don't have a lot of money, or any idea what I should do or what I should get her.
Does anyone have any ideas of something special we could do together before she leaves, or something I could give to her? I really want whatever I do to make an impression, and I'm going to miss her a lot.
I'll leave more information if anyone needs it.

If you have pictures of the two of you and other family members, you could make her a scrapbook or a collage. That would be really personally, but wouldn't have to cost a lot. Also, if you listen to similar music or have songs that remind you of her, you could make a mix tape.

Q: My boyfriend is 24 and I'm 22 and we've been dating for at least 2 years. We love eachother dearly and are serious about one another. The only issue he and I occasionally discuss is religion. We do have a lot of the same morals however he's Christian and I was born into a sect of Hinduism, which I do believe in. Although we do respect and appreciate eachothers beliefs, I kinda get the feeling he wants me to convert. I really don't want to label myself something I'm not comepletely. Is it possible to have a healthy 'interfatih' relationship that works in the long run?!

I do think it is possible to have a healthy, long term, interfaith relationship, however, if religion is something really important to either of you or your respective families, I expect it will be difficult. At the very least, you should have a discussion about how you would want to practice your religions if you lived together or were married and how you would want to raise any kids you might have together, etc. Also, discuss what your families will be expecting from your spouse/partner. Looking at it in the REALLY long term that way should help each of you to honestly evaluate whether you can live with having a partner who does not share your religion.

Q: over a period of time about 6 months i have become infatuatated with my colleugues wife. whenever i go to her house to see my collegue i keep staring at her. some times i feel she is also doing the same some times.i have definiteky seen her doing the same. I am 45yrs old happily married.she is about 40.I have a hunch that she wants me to make a move but i am not sure.i want to to take minimum of risk as the consequences are too much to bear.on other hand i feel a fling for a short time is not bad as we only live once.please help me

Making any move at all in this situation would be a mistake. If you are unhappy in your marriage, leave. If you are just bored, talk to your wife and work on the problem together. Having a fling would be both selfish and self-defeating as it would hurt two innocent people and possibly have a negative impact on your career since you've described this woman's husband as a colleague.

Q: okay...well i have been having discharge really badly lately, since i think about 6 grade ive had it, but lately its been getting bad....sometimes it will cool off and not be so heavy...but then sometimes it gets thick and i can't stand it, is there any reason why? and does anybody know of any good meds. for it? all answers and ill rate 5's

If you have not ever had a period, the fact that this discharge is getting heavier can be a sign that you are going to start soon. You should only be worried if you also have discomfort and/or a bad smell too. If that is the case, you will need to see a doctor.

Q: What are some good ways to let me boyfriend down gently? I'm not into him as much as I used to be and we're just not working out. He never calls me and he never really talks to me. We've been one of those couples that looks so cute from the outside but there's nothing on the inside. I just need a way to break up with him without the old "we're better off as friends" excuse or something cheesy like that. He's a nice guy and he's really cool but he's not the dude for me. Thanks :)

If you aren't talking much, then he's probably not that into you anymore either. Try talking to him and be honest. Tell him he's a nice guy, you just don't think he's the guy for you.

Q: mk not a relationship but it has to do with work. Im 17 by the way. well theres this guy i work with hes about 20-25 idk. hes got a girlfriend and some kids. (not by her tho) well im an extreme flirt so yea of course i flirt with him when ever but like he kinda does things to get my attention in a way. like Ex. hes throws things at me he calls me names and makes fun of me in a friendly kind of way . not mean. And what not.
i dont think hes very committed to his girl tho just the way he talks.
I think he is so cute like seriously but i don;t like him. would flirting with him make him think i do? could i get fired or anything for flirting like that with him during work? And do you think that it sounds like hes flirting with me by the things he does or just no. And should i just completely stop?

I don't think he's very grown up. I don't think it matters if he's flirting with you or not. You shouldn't flirt with him unless you want to be that babies mama.

Q: Would you take offense if your gf/bf said that although they find you attractive, they would never want to see a "Picture" of you, or see you in your underwear? I'm sure you can guess of what nature.
My gf said this to me and I felt offended. I don't really know why. I guess it's no big deal, really. We were only kidding around and she said that. I'm pretty insecure about my looks, which doesn't help I suppose. So would you take offense, or am I making a big deal?

Q: Hi, I would REALLY apprecaite some advice :) OK, my partner (male 32) is driving me (female 26) up the wall! We have a 6 month old baby. My parner works, I am at home alone with the baby all day. He has this really annoying habit where he get's home, sits on his lap top and then only goes to bed at about 5am! His alarm goes off at least 6 times before he gets up for work (obviously making him late!) and then he has to stay at work late to make up the time. By the the time he gets home from work, I am so wound up that we argue! I have tried to comprimise by designating "laptop evenings" but when we do this, it lasts for a few days and then we are back at square one. The worst of it is, that he he has difficulty with "demands". He sees everything as a demand and then feels that he must rebel! This makes him worse. Please can you give me some practical advice to get him to sleep earleir and to wake up on time for work. We are due to get married in Jan and I feel that this is a real reason for me to call it all off :( Thanks :)

First of all, don't marry this guy until he straightens up. For one thing, he needs to learn to respect what you do is work as well. I would hide the laptop if it were me. Or, if you want to be less extreme, explain to him that in a long term relationship that it is reasonable for each person to have demands on the other person. Relationships are a compromise. You may also want to see a therapist together to help you work through these issues. Good luck.
