Pook answered Friday January 23 2015, 6:18 am: Because you are so young you need to involve your parents or carers with your weight loss goals. At 8 years old, unless you are very overweight, you should not be worrying about dieting. Speak to your parents about how you feel about your body and let them help you. Dragonflymagic answered Tuesday January 20 2015, 11:33 pm: As grandfather said, to increase weight loss, exercise should be included. To help out a bit, to have some direction as to what exercise would be best, its important to understand that according to Ayurvedic traditions for health, there are 3 different body types, each needing a different exercise plan to be successful. I am adding the link for you to read and see what you think. Hope it helps. Consistency in a good diet and exercise will make a difference. Grandfather answered Tuesday January 20 2015, 9:19 pm: Just take your current body weight in pounds and multiply it by 14 and 17. Somewhere in between those 2 amounts will usually be your daily calorie maintenance level. To lose weight without any other effort merely decrease your caloric intake but not TOO much because your body will go into starvation mode and will make every effort to conserve calories. I would suggest a reduction in the range of 250 calories a day, which should begin to give you results within a week. If you want to accelerate the weight loss, increase the level of and intensity of your exercise. You can go to myfitnesspal for a free calorie counter to make counting and food tracking easy.
