I don't use tampons or pads....? I use to use pads but I find them uncomfortable and I don't like sticking things up my vagina because I'm only 13, so what I do is roll up toilet paper ( so it almost looks like a tampon) and put it securely between the lips and it never falls out and it's always comfortable and there's no leakage as long as it's changed every few hours. Is this ok?

I would be very careful maybe try a pantiliner ]
To the male observer, there strike me as a very wide variety of pads and liners etc out there, and whenever I've been asked to pick any up for someone the lady in question has been very particualr about me getting the right one! From which I can only assume that they have found a weight, shape and form etc that suits them perfectly, and is effective and comfortable. Have you tried different ones and compared them? Looked at them etc? Apologies if you have already compared the market, as you might say, and they're ALL uncomfortable. I'm sure the female advisors will have more to add than me on the subject. But really...there are mega shelf-loads in a big chemists store. I've spent ages trying to find one I was sent for...and feeling a bit self-conscious in the process...as you might imagine!! X ]
yup, your going to have to use something more as time goes on and you get older. the toilet paper route wont work forever. what you can do is get some scissors and cut the pad to be the shape you want. they also have pads that dont feel like crinkly diaper type material you just have to look for the cotton top style type. it will just feel like your wearing a thicker type of cotton undies that day. other then that its the price we pay for being a woman sorry girly. ; ) good luck. ]
It shouldn't be a problem. But toilet paper does disintegrate easily into pulpy little bits that stick to your skin. Some may end up stuck a little ways in or in the folds of the labia, even if you wipe. I try to wipe well, but unless you use a washcloth or feminine wipes meant to use on the area, fibers will remain. I cant say how often the husband finds remains of toilet paper from the day, stuck in the folds of my skin. I know TMI but it's something that needs to be communicated.
As you become older the period you had as a young teen just starting wont resemble the one in your late teens or 20's. And toilet paper will not hold it back then, especially if you get at least one heavy flow day if not more. I don't know how many pad styles you have used but they keep making em thinner and thinner and still as absorbent. You may have to use pads eventually. ]
