I think a great idea would be to give her a card, with her favorite candy and then gift cards to her favorite place to eat or shop! Hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions! :) irish817@verizon.net

Buying gifts for any occasion can be tough. And given the allergy issues and other factors, it seems like your situation is even more complicated.

Personally, I like the idea of doing something personal. Anyone can go to a store and pick up any old thing, or worse yet give the gift of a gift card that says to me "I didn't put any thought into this at all." But, it when you do something personal it makes the gift that much better.

My suggestion, especially if you are on a budget, would be to check out the "Gifts" category at Fiverr.com.

Some unique and creative ideas there include:
Personalized charms and necklaces
Hand made earrings
Family trees
Hand made tote bags
and so much more

I ordered a custom necklace inspired by my mom's favorite song.

Bottom line, be creative and have fun showing your mom your love.

As a mother myself I knew we just want to know that our children are healthy happy and that we did a good job raising our children. Is there a place in your city you can go in a gondola ride? A nice relaxing ride and if you present her with a book of pictures of your child hood. Different events and happy occasions. Just reminiscing over the happy times your mom provided you with. Perhaps a horse carriage ride.

ok what you can do is go to google and type in "unique gifts" ive found some there that dont even require you to buy much of anything from the store! you can make it from home if you have just a few supplies.

i just made an amazing gift for a friend of mine whos a mother of three and (although it was her b-day but mothers day) this could still work as a mothers day present.

does she like nail polishes at all? or like to do her nails? buy a wide mouthed mason jar at an arts n crafts store, some thin metal wire to make a handle, then pick her out a nail polish color you think she'd like, some cotton balls, a bottle of nail polish remover (for mistakes) and a pair of toe separators for polishing feet!

put it all in the jar and tie a ribbon around it to fancy it up a bit and boom! manicure in a jar, and its old fashion looking because of the mason jar! ; )
