My friends hate each other and I'm stuck in the middle
Question Posted Saturday January 25 2014, 11:04 pm
I am in grade 9 and I'm one of those quiet kids with a couple friends. So, one day two of my really close friends just couldn't stop bickering with one another and just couldn't control it. I tried to stay out of if. Now they are constantly getting in little arguments and I'm stuck In the middle. I don't know what to do because I can't pick sides, but everyone else in the class hates me or I can't talk to them because I'm too shy to even nod when they talk to me. Both my friends vent to me and I agree a little with what they say about the other. I can't pick sides, but I also don't want to be alone still stuck in the middle. What do I do?
Hardcore-Band-Geek answered Sunday January 26 2014, 2:31 am: I have had similar situations (besides the everyone in class hating me part) but i have had two sets of really close friends argue constantly. One set this year (my freshman year) and one set in my 4th grade year. I was horribly stuck in the middle, my friends (just using one set as an example)we're always fighting and yelling at me to pick a side. But you just have to be firm, and just be direct that your not going to pick sides. If they don't let up or it gets worse, talk to an adult you trust. You could always try talking it out to them. I hope this helped :) [ Hardcore-Band-Geek's advice column | Ask Hardcore-Band-Geek A Question ]
