I really wish schools would do a better job at teaching sex education. It seems to me that today's generation of teenagers are less informed about sex then the generation before sex education was introduced in school. Sorry I needed to vent.

Your not pregnant, between washing his hands and the time between then and the time he fingered you any sperm that might have been on his fingers were either washed away or died.

If you want to proof that to yourself. Take some of your boyfriends sperm, put it on a slide and look at it under a microscope. The microscope does not have be very powerful. One of the ones that come in a children's toy science set is powerful enough to see what I am saying. The sperm will stop trying to swim in short order.

There are many different reasons for missing your period and this will not be the last time you miss a period during your menstrual life. The most common reason is stress. Stress causes a great disruption with in us. This disruption very easily disrupts the delicate balance of your cycle. If you are concerned about being pregnant, which you must be to write us. This is just enough stress to throw your cycle off.

Illness is the next big cause of missing a period followed by the taking of antibiotics. Then there is exercise. If you have had a change in your exercise routine or increase your exercise routine, this could throw of your periods.

If you are truly concerned and want to relieve your own stress take a home pregnancy test. If you are over 14 the drug store cannot refuse to sell it to you and you do not need parental permission. This is granted under a federal law known as HIPPA. You can also buy condoms under this same law.

I know you don't want you mom finding the test kit. I as a general rule do not suggest lying or hiding things from parents. This is the one exception. Find the test kit you want to use. Purchase it the night before you are going to use it. Make sure it is a school night. Put it in your purse and take it home. In the morning take it into the bathroom for you morning shower. Carefully open the kit and follow the instructions. When done put everything back in the kit and back in your purse. Dispose of the kit at school. I'm positive from what you have written the test will be negative.

If it is not don't freak out, there are more false positive then negatives. Purchase a different kit and test again. There is no way from what you have written that you should be pregnant.

As for reasons of period not being on time, it can be related to stress or recent illness. Also, the first couple years of having a period, many girls get one that is very inconsistant and irregular.

That may also be what is going on with you and is quite normal. As you get older the cycle will begin to follow a more predictable pattern.

No. Sperm can't survive outside the body that long. You're fine.
