will i be fired from walmart for taking care of my sick wife?

My wife Is vêry sick and in the hospital have worked for walmart only two weeks wé desperatly need this oppertunity ive already had to miss two days due to My wifes sickness she Needs me today would i ne fired

I work there too and they do have a medical leave and such. But you really should sit down with your manager whether it be an assistant manager, a CSM, ZMS, or even the store manager themself. Tell them what is going on and that you want to keep this job but you are unsure how to go about the sickness with your wife.

Talk to the store manager or human resources person about FMLA. This is the Federal Medical Leave Act which allows for employees to be granted unpaid leave to tend to sick family members.

I'm sure Eal-Mart has a policy for FMLA just not sure how it may effect a new employee or a part-time employee if you are on.

It's possible. Your rights as far as taking time off to take care of a sick family member will vary from state to state.

The best thing you can do is explain the situation to your supervisor honestly.
