I pre ordered The Sims 3 seasons Sept 30th and on Nov 9th I finally got the email that it was being shipped to me along with a tracking number. The number is for UPS mail innovations. I tracked my game all last week by the tracking number through cities and on Monday the 12th my package got to TETERBORO, NJ which is about an hour and a half away from me according to Google Maps. Ever since then, my package has not left that town. Around Wednesday my tracking page got this message in a yellow banner saying "This shipment is progressing through the postal system to the final destination." But it's been almost a week. My estimated delivery date was on the 15th and it's now 2 days late with no change it cities.
I tried having a live chat with UPS to figure out what was wrong today but all they said was that my package is being shipped via the US postal service, not help whatsoever since I already knew that. [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) This ling leads you to a picture of my tracking page with my info crossed out so everyone can see what I'm seeing.
I'm extremely annoyed, does this mean my order was lost? Is there anything I can do about it? I'd rather not see $40 go down the drain.
The post office doesn't update that status once it is handed off to them. Given everything that is going on on the east coast lately, you may want to give it a couple more days.
2 days late in the aftermath of a storm like Sandy isn't something to worry about. I know you are anxious to play, but I would wait a week before concluding it was lost.

Ok anyways. Just give it a day or two and if it doesn't come call them and pull them up about it saying you paid for it and you want it and then if they don't give you it sue them and don't buy from them again, it also might come from the uk (probably not) because seasons was only released November 16th here. The 12th was a federal holiday, so the post office was closed, which probably added an extra day to the journey. When UPS handed your packages over, since you paid for tracking, they should have gotten delivery confirmation (which includes tracking info) so they should have a way to track it. I'd also recommend calling that towns post office, and seeing if someone there can physically find it. The "estimated delivery" dates are automatically generated by average amount of time, and probably did not take the holiday or hurricane delays into account. I'd say give it another week, and failing that, contact the place you purchased the game from (even if it's an ebay/amazon seller) and get a refund.
