I get this question all the time. And I'm going to give you the answer I give each time. Everyone is different. And it's perfectly normal to not have had it yet. Even if your mom had it at a certain age, doesn't mean that you will have it at the same age. You SHOULDNT worry if you haven't gotten your period right away becaues that may not be the first thing you're getting. There's pubic hair, and breasts. You get get them all at the same time but you won't ever know what's coming first. You SHOULD worry if you still haven't had your period around the age of 17. If you haven't yet, and you're 17 you should call a doctor because it could be serious.

Don't worry, your period will come when your body is ready and you're only thirteen. Periods can start at any time between the ages of about 9 and 16. For some girls it can come early and for some it can come later like at 17 or 18 - every girl is different.

That can happen - having period symptoms and for it not to come yet, it may come soon since you have symptoms or it might not. Don't worry if it doesn't because you are still you young and you still have time to get your period.

Every girl is different so you might start a bit later than you friends have. I know it can be frustrating but you just have to wait. You won't want it anyway because you have cramps, mood swings, PMS etc and that's annoying even if you have ha your period for years but I guess you learn to live with it. As for your mum starting at thirteen, well some girls do start at the same age as their mum and some don't - it's not guaranteed.

Like I said it will come when your body is ready and don't be scared hun, because you're fine x

hey girl don't stress about it, trust me you don't want it! If you are having the symptoms than i am sure you are going to get it soon, make sure to keep a pad with you at all times!
there is nothing you can do to make it some faster, it is just your body.
dont stress about not having it, i'm sure there are lots of girls that haven't started yet either!

You don't have to worry at this age. My friend didn't get hers until she was 15. Honestly, the longer you hold out on having your period, the less menstrual pain you will start going through. At least, that's how I see it. Also, just because your mom started at 13, doesn't mean you will too. Your bodily makeup is different from your mom's and you might have different levels of hormones in your blood than your mom did at the time she was 13. This is nothing to be afraid of because it could be due to your environment, or food you eat. The cause is virtually unknown. All I have to say is enjoy your non-period life while it lasts but be protected just incase the big moment happens when you're not at home. :D
