As for if he's still thinking of you, with decent certainty, I can say yes. If it was true love, then it takes much more than 2 months to let go of that person.
As for if he will ever forget you, the answer is no. You will never forget him either. You both shared in an experience that helped you both grow and develop as adults, and for that, neither of you will ever forget the other.
If you're truly in love with him and feel that is in love with you as well, there is no shame in opening up communication with him. Who knows, it might be the spark to get him wanting to be back together with you. You never know until you try!
