If I am over-weight and know that being overweight is bad for my health is eating chocolate suicide? If I smoke is smoking suicide? Why is this different that shooting myself? Where does it say in the bible don't kill yourself? I don't know the bible but I don't think God ever dealt with suicide.
I don't like my life, or myself and want out. I have a long list of why but it really doesn't matter. I think living is hell and death is peace.
The Bible Does say in the commandments,"Thou shalt not kill." Other translations say "Thou shall not commit murder."
So you say, "What about Murderers then. Does it mean all Murderers go to hell?"
The answer to that in the bible is, not if they repent and ask forgiveness of God.
1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
But how can one repent and ask for forgiveness, after they have already died?
Suicide is not only seen as Murder of one's self but also as cutting yourself off from Gods mercy, because there is no way to repent your sins afterwards.
Acts 3:19
Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord,

You're over-weight, so what? Don't let that bother you, im sure you are beautiful, if you want to lose weight, make it a priority, join a gym, do yoga, start exercising at home, or see a dietitian. That should not at all be on the list of why you should die.
Wait for life to happen, im guessing your in your early teenage years, everybody deals with it, nobodys life is perfect and you don't know whats at the other end, you know whats here and whats now, so wait for it to come to you, and be happy. philosophymajor answered Sunday May 20 2012, 3:49 am: The difference is that one act you are responsible because you willed it to happen. Smoking or eating chocolate you are not responsible because you are not responsible for things you do not will. For example, you could smoke all you want and not get cancer because you could get hit by a car before that happens. While choosing to kill yourself is something in your control, and since it is, you morally responsible for it. Your moral responsibility comes the Bible since you subscribe to it. Living isn't supposed to be hell, and if you feel that way, you're not living. You may not want to get help for your depression, but if you do, with the right treatment, you'll be surprised how awesome life can be. You may think I'm talking crap, but believe me, a few months ago I was in that awful terrifying place, and I believed that suicide was the only solution, and no one understood my pain. People would always tell me that I have a future, but I didn't believe them. But guess what! They were right! My life is really awesome right now! I'm on medication, and it evens out my brain, and even though I'm doing so great now, I still know that without the medication I would be dead. I strongly urge you to get help for your own sake. Suicidal feelings are so unbearable to deal with. Please get help so you could feel better and love your life! You deserve the most incredible life you can have! Don't let your depression get the better of you, there is a way to get over it. But there's no way you can do it alone. Always remember that you are irreplacable and the world cannot afford to lose you. You are in terrible pain right now, but I believe in you, and I believe you are going to survive it and have a wonderful life! You need to believe that too :) Good luck. Hope you feel better soon :) [ alexisgirlie's advice column | Ask alexisgirlie A Question ]

It seems you’re dealing with many misbeliefs about yourself and the conditions that God has chosen for you to live in. The only way to make it through life with proper perceptions on our day to day situations is to know what God says about them. Jesus said in Matthew 7:14, because straight is the gate and narrow is the way, which leadeth to life (heaven), and few there be that find it. YES the road to Heaven is uncomfortable on many different levels but God will always help, Philippian 2:13 “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.” He will always help; he is just a prayer away. Oh, and about Heaven the Bible says, in 1Corinthisans 2:9 “But as it is written, eye has not seen nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love Him.” God would speak through Jesus and say “ If you love me keep my commandments” John 14:15/ an example of this is
Matthew 19:16-19
16 Just then a man came up to Jesus and asked, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life ?” 17 “Why do you ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.” 18 “Which ones?” he inquired, Jesus replied, “‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, 19 honor your father and mother, and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.”
He only mention a few but it is clearly understood to what he is making reference to, the Ten Commandments of God. God loves you and would hate to declare an eternal punishment on you, “Do you think that I like to see wicked people die? says the Sovereign LORD. Of course not! I want them to turn from their wicked ways and live.” Ezekiel 18:23
PLEASE give God a chance He is your Maker He has designed you perfectly to His liking. God Bless// [ LAWofHISvoice's advice column | Ask LAWofHISvoice A Question ]
NinjaNeer answered Thursday May 17 2012, 9:42 am: Your analogy is flawed.
If an overweight person eats chocolate, sure, that's a self-harming behaviour. But if the next day they eat healthier, or they go for a jog later to make up for it, the action could be undone. Heck, it could be undone years later.
Same goes for smoking. Smoking can kill you. The damage done by smoking can be largely undone after quitting, though.
Suicide is a permanent self-harm, if you're successful. Nobody's going to die instantly from that last chocolate bar or cigarette. When you make a decision to kill yourself, that is the last decision you'll ever make.
What the Bible says on the subject is irrelevant. Does the Bible tell us how to use the internet? How to treat the mentally ill? It was written by stone-age people with different customs and knowledge. Most of the guidelines are outdated, just like many of our old laws are outdated.
If you don't like your life or yourself, that's your responsibility. Make yourself into the person you want to be. You'll have roadblocks along the way. Things will be tough. But when you come out the other side as a better person, it's worth it. Same with your life. Any situation can be temporary. Make goals, plan for the future. If you die now, you die without having fulfilled your potential. You skip out on the millions of decisions you would have had an opportunity to make, for the sake of one.
I've been there. Death has seemed like the easy way out. But it's not. If you feel like a loser, how will you feel knowing that that's all you ever ended up being? Don't you want a chance to change? [ NinjaNeer's advice column | Ask NinjaNeer A Question ]
