I'm 15 and I'm 5'0 feet tall, are there any ways to help me get taller?

Question Posted Friday March 30 2012, 1:58 pm

I'm 15 years old and I'm 5'0 feet tall.I'm pretty short and it kind of bothers me because I'm the only member of my family that's short. My younger sister is even taller than me,it kinda makes me jealous sometime. What can I do to grow at least a little bit taller,or help speed up my growth?
Thankyou.

Solid advice is right for the most part. Height is in our genes and as long as we aren't malnourished we will grow as tall as they will allow, so if your eating junk food all the time and get no nutrition (fruits, vegetables, chicken, fish) then your not helping yourself.
Since your are young you can resort to gh (growth hormone), which you get from a physician. I'm not sure they will prescribe it since they use it mostly for hormone disorders (lacking gh, such as dwarfism), but it's worth a try.
If not you can get gh from a vitamin shop ( forgot what it's called), but that is something I would never do. Gh is a very serious thing and it's ridiculous that people are using it without a prescription.
So those are your options. Personally I think you should stay the same way you are. There are all things we all don't like about our body's but height is something I've learned to let go, I've realized it's not as important to people as you think it is. Gl

Height is determined by genetics. While others may be taller somewhere down the genetic line there were those who were not.

I know you must be frustrated but the good thing is that you're still going through puberty and can have growth spurts still. By the time you are 18 your adult height is locked in.

There's no exercises or pills or remedies to make anyone taller. If there were we'd all be 7 foot tall but regardless of size and height just remember that good things come in small packages.
