life after death

Question Posted Sunday October 16 2011, 9:40 pm

Do you really believe that there is life after death because I've been thinking of ending mine. Than I realised eternity is a long time to spend in the company of the things that made me end it in the first place.

[ Answer this question ]

Additional info, added Monday October 17 2011, 10:40 am:
I get how my question is miss construed but the depression isn't what I have a problem with or asking about though I must say thank you for the advice. My problem is that I can't stand people and I fear I shall be stuck with them this life or the next if the is one .

The answer to life and death is always a myth; that all mankind seeks an answer for. Apparently, no one knows about life after death, as no living-natural man has come back from death before. I see life as a gift knowing that we came from darkness and will return to such. What happens after death is beyond all imaginations. The great thing is that there is a book on earth that tells us about life after death and it may be a good source to seek in finding answers to the questions asked.

My advice is worry about the life you are living now and worrying about becoming the best you can be. People will be people. There are many times where people will get on your case but its best to not let them get to you. Think positively! I've been in some tough situations that have made me feel worthless but its not worth beating myself up about it. Sure I've made mistakes but the only regret I've ever had is how I've never stood up for myself as much as I should have.
Have you ever read the book 'Tuck Everlasting'? If not it's a great read! The character Tuck says "Don't fear Death but fear the unlived life". Don't listen to what other people say, people are always going to say what they want. Listen to you, and follow your heart and mind in what you want to do. Don't let people get you down. I also suggest you go speak to someone whether it be your guardians, guidance couselor, friends, or even a therapist. Keep your head up!

First of all suicide is never an answer. There is no problem so devastating that can not be resolved. All one needs to do ask the right people for help. In the U. S. the right people are the volunteers at the Suicide Hotline, which operates 24/7 365 days a year. Their number is 1-800-273-8255(TALK).

Call them and talk to them. They will help you and help you find people in you community to help you resolve whatever it is that is making you feel this way.

If you feel like hurting yourself call 911 or the emergency number for where you live. People will be sent to you to help you. The 911 people will talk with you and stay on the line with you until help arrives.

I have suffered from depression for a long time. My depression is in remission right now but it is an everyday awareness that I have of how I use to be and the battle I fought to recover. Because of this I think I may just know a little bit of where you find yourself at the moment.

I can tell you that depression cause you to see things, not as they truly are but through a distorted image caused by the depression. Once you seek treatment for the depression and can see thing more clearly you will find that whatever the problem that sent you into depression is more easily addressed or corrected than it appeared.

Please take my advice and see your doctor and be screened for depression, then follow the doctors advice. I am a depression survivor and speak from experience.

I firmly believe in life after death. Whether you believe in God or not there MUST be a point to us all being here.
I know how you feel. A few years back I wanted to end mine, too. I was in a very dark place and felt unloved, unappreciated, and depressed. I can't even begin to explain how horrible it felt. I had almost no one to turn to.. my world was flipped upside down & I couldn't see the point in trying to help myself. But then I thought about everything to look forward to- getting married, having a family, my future career, having an impact on others etc. That meant too much to me to let go. Even if that doesn't mean as much to you, I'm sure you can find something that DOES to help you through this.
Don't ever take your life for granted. Think of all those young kids in children's hospitals dying of something- they'd give anything to be you and have the power of whether or not they see tomorrow. I don't say this to make you feel guilty! I say it to help you realize what a true gift you have in your hands. God put you here for a reason... even if you have not found it yet.
You are valuable. You are loved. Do not give up.

1-800-273-8255 That's the number for the suicide hotline in the U.S. Please do not hesitate to call. Think of the wonderful life you have ahead of you, people who love and treasure you who would grieve from you being gone (even if you feel unloved).

I will pray for you. God loves you and is holding you.. and I love you through Him (:

Hope this helped!
