how to study language that is very difficult to understand? Please answer by tomorrow! i have a test tomorrow on quotes from the story of agamemnon. i have to identify who said what. how do i go about studying for this!? its about 100 pages long and the language is very difficult for me to understand

My second language is Japanese (both speak and read). I found that if you really want to nail a foreign language the best way to that is just think like a baby again like you don't know any language at all and just try to immerse yourself for as many hours a day as you can in it. You have to really want it. If you don't have that drive you aren't going to get anywhere. It also helps to then go to the target country and have to use it every day to reinforce it. Everyone should live overseas after they graduate college. What a tremendous experience that is! ]

Practice and patience. The best way to understand different forms of diction is to simply read it and read it often.
When I read the first few chapters of Pride and Prejudice I was like, "Holy hell. What are they TALKING about?!" but as I delved farther in, it got easier and easier to understand. P&P is now my favorite book. ]
