Inter racial dating

Question Posted Thursday September 15 2011, 7:30 am

This is for a school project I'm doing and would appreciate totally honest answers. I just need to know peoples own opinions on dating outside your own race could you please tell me gender, age and your own race plus how you feel when you see different coloured men and women together.

Also if you do support or agree with inter racial relationships, which is your favourite combinations like white women with black men or asian women with white men, don't be shy :) I just need some honest opinions to finish off my research. thank you

i don't know if this is what you're looking for, but to me i feel like it's considered a bit different. my fiance and i are both asian; but, i'm korean (east asian) and he's laos (southeast asian). yea, we're the same race, but not many people know that it's actually very different for us. a lot of east asians (korean, japanese, chinese) don't like southeast asian people (thai, laos, viet, etc). east asians think southeast asians are "dirty, uncivilized" just because they're a 3rd world country and darker than us. yea, asian people are prejudice against they're own kind, who knew. either way, those are definitely not my beliefs. i love my fiance and he's perfect! it took my parents a little bit more time, but they love him now :) hope i helped <3

my mom is white, and my dad is puerto rican. I personally think that it doesn't matter! Everyone has their own different tastes, and color doesn't matter! I don't have a favorite combination, as long as the happiness is there, then that's all there is to it! My mom and dad divorced when I was ten and my mom married a wonderful man, and he is black. They have been married for two years and have been together for four! They are extremely happy and now I have a mixed baby brother :) no matter the color, love is love!

24, female, caucasian.

I don't really feel anything when I see mixed race couples. That would be a little weird, seeing as I've dated a Chinese guy and two Indian guys in the past!

A favourite combination? That's a little weird. My favourite combination would be a couple that's happy together... regardless of race.

20/f, I consider myself to be white but I am technically half Hispanic I guess (my dad immigrated from a South American country).

When I see an interracial couple, I don't feel any different than if I saw a non-interracial couple. Of course I support/agree with them, because we're all human beings, regardless of color. I don't have a 'favorite combination', I feel like that's a little silly haha. I've never been in an interracial relationship because the town where I live is mostly white/asian. (I don't have a problem with Asians, of course, but they generally aren't allowed to date in highschool around here and high school was when I had most of my boyfriends.) However, if I met someone of another race that I really liked, of course I would have no problem with dating them. I can't say that my parents or family would feel the same, though.

Yikes,

I'll give you my opinion but I sure hope I don't offend anyone.

I personally like to stick with my own race, (Caucasian)

What do I think of mixed dating? Eh, People are free to do whatever they wish but I find certain races to be obnoxious. I have no problem with them, I just personally wouldn't date them. Do I agree? No probably not but this 2011 and it is not an uncommon thing these days.

I view interracial relationships just as normal as those of the same race. A personality is a personality, no matter what color the shell is. Im actually dating a Colombian guy at the moment :) and for a favorite, I dont have one. Theyre all beautiful.
