Question Posted Thursday August 11 2011, 5:00 pm

i have now discovered that even though girls say they want genuinely nice guys they chase after assholes, who do nothing but treat them badly. but why do girls still do it.

Personally, I find the ass-hole bad guys have that danger element that through evoloution were sort of auto attracted to, since our basic instinct kicks in and says "he takes risks and he is strong and has a reputation/status within a group, therefore he would be a good mate" but that wears off when we understand the world better and see that the best partner is one who works and can look after us since the "king of the jungle" idea is no longer needed. that's the way I see it, after a certain age girls realise their mistake and swap to the good guys.

Other than that there's the: mummy/daddy wouldn't approve so let's do it, factor and all the other teenage angst reasons, but they usually change their "type" as they get older :)

Well..I think that the "nice guys"are all clingy, way to nice all the time, and kinda creepy. And the assholes are just better on a bunch of different levels, like great in bed and their assholeness just turns us girls on. I'm mean the asshole guy can be nice too. I'd just rather b with a dick who is nice at the same time and doesn't have those "nice guys" quaitly. Hope I helped. Oh and just because you buy a girl something does not mean you guys are like really great friends n you think you can follow her around because u can't.

I think the main thing is that girls are insecure about themselves. They say they want a nice guy, but they always go for the bad ones because they don't know how to get nice guys. I had a hard time with something like that, but then I realized that he wasn't the kind of guy I should be with, so I just let him go, and went to go find better guys. Hope I helped! :)

Girl's who do this are just craving for attention, in all the wrong ways, from a certain guy. They don't care if it's bad or negative attention, they just care that they're getting it.

Not all girls are like this. If you smart, you should know right from wrong, and you should know to never let a guy walk all over you. You're much better than that!

Not all girls do that...Just the not so smart ones. It's because girls feel the need to be important and think that if they can change the guy then they have done something important. It's hard to give a detailed answer for this question because every girl is different but that's the main idea of it. Hope I helped!
