Hey everybody, I'm 14 (almost 15) and I think it's about time I start thinking about a first job. Most likely when I turn 15 or 16 I'll start looking for one. I want to work at McDonald's with my friend, but if I can't, what are some good jobs for somebody who has terrible social skills? All answers are appreciated.
Why? Because you need social skills. They're really, really important. Every job requires them. Even if you don't work with customers or clients, you still have to be able to work well with co-workers. That's something future employers will want, so it's something to work on now. -- You could be a dish washer at your local restaurant.
-- You could do the cooking at McDonalds.
-- If you have a donuts shop, you could make the donuts in the back of the store.
-- If you have an animal shelter or a pet shop, you could always apply there, too.
-- Do odd jobs around your town for Family & Friends. [ MummuM's advice column | Ask MummuM A Question ]

Get certified, apply, and watch people!
Believe me this is what I do and you rarely talk to people.
And if they come up to you, you could just say I can't talk right now cuz I may get distracted but the office is right over there, and point them to your management.
PLUS! You get paid more than minimum wage.
Pick a city pool,small preferably. [ cosmonaut's advice column | Ask cosmonaut A Question ]
