Hey so watching kids that age is challenging so you need lots of energy lol. Theres lots to do to keep them and yourself occupied but I strongly recommend planning ahead like the night before. With a time schedule too so you dont have any periods "what should I do now". have fun and good luck ]
Children at that age have short attention spans, generally less than an hour; so plan accordingly.
One thing is you do not want them outside during the highest heat of the day, between one and four in the afternoon. Most likely the six year old can still be put down for a nap at the time; not sure you can get the eight year old to nap.
Things to do with them would include, puzzles, finger painting, face painting or reading to them as indoor time. For out door things to do this would include trips to the local park, a nature walk where they look for things they can easily identify. Pool time is always good; no pool then let them run through the sprinkler if you can.
Ask you Uncle for permission to take them to places like the local zoo or petting farm. If you have a working far near by they may allow berry picking, kids generally love this activity.
Of course some of these activities depend on if your old enough to drive. If not use your imagination. You could do your Uncle a favor an teach them how to clean. You would be surprised what activities capture the interest of young children. ]
play a board game, make an ice cream sundae for them, sing and dance and act goofy and funny to entertain them, tell funny stories, take a walk, go to the store and buy them something, if one of them is a girl, paint their nails or do their hair, go on a walk and somewhere nice take pictures of them, bring them to the pool, buy a slip n slide and have them play in there, water balloons fight, a little pool, .. haha theres a lot of things to do with them!
have fun, hope i helped, good luck!(:
if you have any questions feel free to ask!(:

Take them outside to play, do crafts, read books, make up educational flash cards... kids are easy to entertain but remember they have a short attention span at times... do things that you use to enjoy doing when you were their age good luck and have fun ]
