What's wrong with me? STD? Pregnancy?

Question Posted Saturday June 25 2011, 9:50 am

I'm 18, and sexually active with my boyfriend for the past 3 months. Last night, I noticed (after using the bathroom) that there was pinkish blood on the paper, It was there for several hours but stopped. THen this morning it turned into a brownish discharge. My period ended 2 weeks ago and I'm not due for it again for another 2 weeks, so it's not my period. What's wrong with me? STD? Pregnancy? Please help!!

Honestly it sounds like pregnancy to me. That is what it was like for me everytime and I have three children. With my first pregnancy I had pinkish dischage that lasted and lasted and I never got check out and the pregnancy ended in miscarriage. If you are not on birth control and your periods are normal I highly doubt it is regular spotting without pregnancy. Please get checked out asap, although if it is too early a pregnancy test may not be accurate. I wish you the best.

You could be ovulating. (I call that brown stuff beef stew...I'm sure you can figure out why), and it's normal. Like everything, though, if it gets out of hand see a doctor. Getting on the birth control pill will help regulate your period, if you're not on it already

It's called spotting. Yes it's normal. Especially for women who are sexually active. If you're using birth control then that's a common side effect which is normal :)
