What is Love? I always hear people sayong they love someone or something but what does it all really mean? Why do people like my parents and family say they love me? Is there actually something so ridiculous and naive out there?

love is when you have feelings for someone and care for them and want to spend the rest of your life with that person ( wheather its a child or hussband or wife ect..) so much that you would take your life away for them!

When it comes down to it your parents love you no matter what but when it comes down to relationships you never know I wouldnt always think its love unless ya'll are in a realationship for about a year and your feeling get stronger

Love is many things. Love is an emotion, expression, and much more. No one can actually fully understand the meaning of love. There are many different forms of love as well. There is the parental love. A bond between parent and child unlike any other. There is lovers love. A strong love for a certain person. You feel that they are the most important thing in the world. There is friendship love. A caring feeling for the people around you. A brother/sister love. A bond between brothers and sisters that can't really be explained. Love takes on many shapes and forms. Someone can be in love with an object. Is it ridiculous or naive to love? No it's not. It actually makes one person stronger to love. Without love there wouldn't be anything to fight/live for in this world. Love can hurt, but we normally use that experiance for the future. Like people say, "It is better to have loved and lost, rather than to have never loved at all."
Another quote, but from a move called Moulin Rouge, "The greatest thing you'll ever learn, is just to love and be loved in return."

Love is something that is endless to give or receive. Make you cry, think, daydream, smile,laugh and so many other things. Love can hurt...it can cure. Either way...no matter who you are .....you are born with the ability to love. Love is something we all human have in common. It is what makes us what we are as well as what we shouldn't be. It makes us do crazy things as well smart things. love is the most infinite way of showing emotion. It is life.

everyone loves differently and there are all different kinds of love. there is love for your friends, family, boyfriend, girlfriend, food, animals, hobbies, sports.. and some are more serious than others. the more serious kind is basically something like this:
love is just an amazing feeling. its when you care about someone so much that youd be willing to do just about anything for them. you want to protect them and have their comfort to help you. its somethng that lasts and doesnt just go away.
you cant really describe love because its a different feeling for everyone and a lot of people show it differently. but usually when someone says they love someone or something, theyre passionate about that person or thing.
people like your parents and family say they love you because they do. they care about you. they want to be there for you always. they want you to know that they are the people who wont leave you and care about you so much. its a strong feeling.
some people dont believe in love.. but i think that yes, there is actually something so ridiculous and naive out there.. but i really dont think its ridiculous or naiive. people need love to survive. if no one was loved or no one loved anything, everyone would be unhappy and have a hard time surviving. its just something you need. love is just love.
