How do you do the Splits? Okay, so it's my 8th grade year at sylvan hills middle school in Atlanta,Ga. I was on the cheerleading team last year and I'm automatically on for 8th grade year since I was a cheerleader last year. I was good last year,but I don't know how to do a split.I can go down little on the floor and I'm almost to the ground but I can't go all the way.

I'm a guy and I used to be able to do the splits when I was in high school. It took months of daily stretching exercises, but I was finally able to get all the way down. So keep working at it. Do at least a half hour of stretching your quads a day. ]
you just need to do the splits every day and make sure you hold it for at least 2 minutes. just go down until its a little uncomfortable but doesnt hurt. do the left, right and center splits. practice practice practice and you should be able to do them in a week or 2. good luck! ]
Stretch. But don't stretch too much or you're going to hurt yourself. Take about two minutes a day, and stretch both legs until you get your splits. When you do get them, stretch before you perform them, or, again, you will hurt yourself. ]
You have to get flexible... Its not something you can 'just do' You have to work at it. Stretch your legs, and do all your normal exercises for cheer. ]
