im only a few weeks pregnant, but i have been getting really sick. i have a urinary tract infection and i also have a cold. im going to go to the doctor soon but i have to wait until i have the money. i have had the uti for about a week. Im concerned for the baby since its so early in the pregnancy. If i wait any longer will this have a serious affect on it? and with me having a cold also, will this cause a problem. this is my first so im concerned.
Er_Bear19 answered Monday June 6 2011, 8:36 pm: Yeah, I had a UTI last summer that I just brushed off, cause I was dumb and thought it went away. It spread to my kidneys, and I got a nasty kidney infection. You DON'T want one. I can only imagine that along with a cold, it can be potentially dangerous, especially if you're with child. I'm not a doctor, and I couldn't tell you how it would affect your baby, but I would see a doctor ASAP! [ Er_Bear19's advice column | Ask Er_Bear19 A Question ]

UTIs easily spread to the kidneys if left untreated. Kidney problems are BIG problems. They can cause early labor amoung other risks.
See a doctor. ASAP. Go to a clinic, or call a support for single mothers who might be able to refere you to a doctor quicker. [ Razhie's advice column | Ask Razhie A Question ]
