I'm 18, and I started dating this guy about 2 months ago, I was a virgin until we had sex for the first time about 2 weeks ago. The first time was with a condom; we had quick sex about 3 more times that night, but without a condom--he didn't cum inside of me, but when we stopped I saw pre-cum. Then a few days after that (same week) we had sex again (with condom) but then we had sex one more time a few hours later, without a condom, I know that, again, he didn't cum inside of me. This past week we had sex twice in the same day, both times without a condom, and he pulled out each time. The last time was only about 2 days ago, we had sex once, without a condom, he pulled out though. My main worry now is becoming pregnant. I hear all of these rumors about "pulling out" and how its as safe as wearing a condom: Is that true? I haven't gotten my period and I always get it in the beginning of the month, I just don't remember the exact date. My friend made me take a pregnancy test the other day and it came back negative, but I know its still early, and I am really worried even though it came back negative. I know what we're doing is stupid and it will stop. But, do you think there's a slight chance I may be pregnant? It's always on my mind now even though he pulls out each time...
The Condom, has between a 2-18% effective rate. Depending on if it is used correctly and doesn't break. Say if you use two things like a male condom and something else you are more than likely not to get pregnant. I always think of it this way, he bought the condom to protect himself and you should do the same by protecting yourself. Than, say one things fails, you have the back up already in place!
You may be pregnant, we can't tell but from what how many times you've had sex. Sometimes protected and not. I would go see a doctor. Next time, be a little more careful and think about YOUR body first.

If getting pregnant was a concern you should have made sure he wore condoms each time or you could also have considered birth control. If pregnancy tests come out negative, but you feel it's still too early to tell, go get a blood test, as those have a higher accuracy rate. If it turns out negative even with a blood test, and if you are not ready for a child, consider birth control. There are MANY different types out there. Such as over the counter forms as well as prescription. If you cannot afford it, then there are also programs such as Women's Health Center and Planned Parenthood which will give you free or at the least very cheap birth controls. Yes, there is a slight chance you could be pregnant, cuz the "pull out" method is definately nowhere near as safe as wearing a condom. The failure rate is 27% annually for the method you are using, where condoms have a 98% success rate. Do the math and you will see a BIG difference.
Your pregnancy test could of came back negative, because it was too early to tell or you didn't take it at the most accurate time (which could throw it off). The best time to take a pregnancy test is the first thing in the morning, a week to ten days after your missed period. Know that it IS possible to have a negative result early in a pregnancy; just recently my friend took a pregnancy test that read negative, then she found out she was actually pregnant.
If you did not take the test at the proper time I would check again to be sure. Also, pre-cum CAN cause pregnancy, for it still has small amounts of sperm in it. So, if his pre ejaculate came into contact with your vagina, you will be at a slight risk. I'm not trying to scare you or tell you that you're pregnant because I am clearly not a doctor and do not know. However, pulling out is NOT a method of birth control. You CAN get pregnant from pre-cum. It's ENTIRELY possible to get pregnant from the "pull out" method.
Be smart. As my mother always told my siblings and I, "no glove, no love". Wrap it before ya tap it ... if it's gonna rain, use an umbrella...
whatever stupid saying you need to hear to tell you to use a condom every time you have sex.
Now, it's only been two weeks. There's no way to actually know if you're pregnant yet. High stress levels can cause a delay in your period. Being sick can cause a delay in your period. Plenty of things can delay it. Wait another two weeks then go out and buy multiple tests. Wait one-three days between taking each test. There are plenty of false negatives, not often are there false positives.
If you still don't get your period that much and your home tests are coming out negative, get a doctor to perform a test. If you turn out pregnant, make a plan for what you're gonna do - keep, abort, adopt. If you're not pregnant, count your blessings and be smarter about your sexual behavior. There is no guarantee that you are not pregnant. Wait two more weeks to a month and go buy three pregnancy tests. Take one every day. If any come back positive go to the doctors and let them run a test since theirs are the most accurate. [ smileydino's advice column | Ask smileydino A Question ]
