If you want to know if you yourself are HIV positive, get tested. If you want to know if someone else is, and its your buisness, then ask them to get tested or to show you recent test results. You can obviously figure out the likelyhood of someone having HIV via how sexually active they are, if they are protected, etc, but if you want to know, theres really only one way. People with HIV can show ZERO symptoms for years. Some people don't even show positive on a test for 10 years or so.
Basically, someone can spread AIDS for 10 years or more without even knowing they have it.
