Why do people start rumors?
I mean really? Lately, and before people have started stuff saying my boy friend was cheating, or doing something wrong, when he's not the type..and I'm tired of it.
I want it to stop, because it's making me so paranoid ..and I already worry so much.. I love my boy friend and we've been dating a year and 4 months I'm not ready to let go..
How do you deal with this?

Sometimes people pawn on the fact that there is happiness, trust etc. The fact people go around spreading rumors is a sign of jealousy. If you and your boyfriend are a strong couple then you two should be strong enough to ignore what other people say. Stop being paranoid about it, It is only giving them what they want. Trust him, Trust your relationship and most of all communicate with him and you to will continue to have that bond.

People will say loads of stuff whether true or false but what matters is the way you handle it.
Don't let what they say bother you because that is their intention. Good you have such trust on your boyfriend that you know what he can do and can't do so dont act based on what someone else says until you see with your own eyes.
Most importantly dismiss such conversatioon and don't give ears to it, you are only bothered because you heard...

Why do people write novels? We're a species of story-tellers - for better or worse - we tell stories.
You ignore it. 'Cause you can't do anything else. To continue to let it terrorize you is only going to encourage people - it makes the story more interesting. Put your foot down with your friends and tell them to stop it. Ignore the others.
