Are you working out long enough? 60 mins for a teen is what we all should do daily. if you are doing 60 mins a day try eating more protein. anorexia is a very bad idea. it can cause major health problems now and later on. if you drink alot of soda try cutting down on it and drink water, not to much water because it can cause you to become sick try drinking 8 glasses a day to keep the fat off.also staying away from everything that you eat that is white.( bread, popcorn, etc.) i dont fully understand why, thats what my doctor told me.hopefully this helped but remember your 13 you are still growing.

Not only is it bad for your health to have an eating disorder, but it won't give you the body you would want. Sure, you would lose weight, but most of the weight is in muscle. Your body will hold on to fat and you may end up weighing less, but the fat will make you look flabby.

An eating disorder is not the answer.

The previous answer tells it best. Anorexia and Bulimia are eating disorders that can and will permanently harm you if they don't kill you. I can't make it any plainer than that.

You say you are physically active. If so the weight you are trying to loose may very well be muscle weight. Before starting any diet see your family doctor to see where you are on the weight chart. If your weight is muscular weight, which is heavier than weight from fat, you do not need to go on a diet. You need to properly exercise to tone your muscles.

Please remember one thing about dieting: You never start a diet without first checking with you doctor and never diet without being under a doctors supervision.

Please don't.

Those are disorders that greatly damage your health.

Here is a graphical overview of what anorexia does:

Here are the effects of bulemia:

- Tooth enamel erosion because of repeated exposure to acidic gastric contents.
- Dental cavities, sensitivity to hot or cold food.
- Swelling and soreness in the salivary glands (from repeated vomiting).
- Stomach Ulcers.
- Ruptures of the stomach and esophagus.
- Abnormal buildup of fluid in the intestines.
- Disruption in the normal bowel release function.
- Electrolyte imbalance.
- Dehydration
- Irregular heartbeat and in severe cases, heart attack
- A greater risk for suicidal behavior

(I got these from this [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) site)

You have to understand that there are NO safe quick weight loss schemes. The ones you mentioned are the worst of the worst though.

Please, take the time to do it right. You are so young and have your whole life ahead of you. No matter how vital it seems that the weight must come off this instant, believe me its not worth the risks.

The only real way to do it is sensible, balanced diet with a calorie deficit (exercise too, but you already get that). Weight loss should not exceed 2 pounds per week, and thats for an overweight adult. If it goes too fast, the body will have a tendency to digest muscle and ruin your metabolism.

But I am getting off topic. So, please do not even consider either of those eating disorders.
