Why does love have to be so hard

Question Posted Monday January 17 2011, 5:39 pm

7 months now I have had a really strong long distance relationship. I'm so confused on what to do. We are only in high school and everyone thinks its too young to "Love Someone" but I think they're wrong. However what if we do break up in the future its gonna crush me. Should I just go ahead and do it even though we both love each other. Why does everything have to be so hard... why does love have to be so hard

Love is risky. Welcome to 'real life'. Sounds like its real enough to you. Cross that bridge when you get to it and enjoy the time you have together now.

I can totally relate to you! Im female 17 in my senior year in highschool. I have a long distance realtionship going on...and its gonna be a year in feb. I understand how hard it is, for me it is the hardest thing i have ever don in my life. Im from canada and my bf is from USa, he lives 9 hours from me. My family is against it but accpet. My friends are for it but some doubt that well get to see eachother. Hes 17 btw and in senior year of highschool. Well we have been planning to meet in the summer of this year...but things arnt looking up. so know we are deciding if we are still going to do this because we might not be able to meet for another year until he gets enough money and gets a car and such. It breaks our hearts. But just like you, we are in so much in love. We have decided to keep things going and just see where it takes us. I love him so much and people say i dont know what love is because its over the internet. but thats my decision, not thiers, its also my life and not thiers. you have to decide for yourself if you truly love him and what is best for you. I have thought about breaking up with him or for somereason we just break up...and i realised just the thought of that made me cry and i felt so depressed. I agree it will crush you. But...dont do somehing your gonna regret and then wish you had. My bf is perfect and if we cant even hold eachother for 2 years, im willing to do it cause i love him so much and he is the one for me. I suggest you talk to your bf, really talk about the whole situation, see if your on the same page. Really talk about the future and how its going to effect you both. You have to remember that your not alone, he is also going through the same feelings as you.

Just talk to him about everything. I talk to my man everyday on skype and have been for 11 months. use cams! they work really well.

Its so hard...but its so worth it. KNowing that after everything is said and done, your with the one you truly love and are happy with. If you truly love him, youll do anything and everything to be with him, as him with you. Good luck! I wish you so much happiness in the future in your realtionship, because i know how hard it is to keep going, and feel like giving up. Wish you the best!! Hope this help, if you have anymore questions id be glad to help you out!

I can deffinetly relate to you. I'm a senior in high school and in a long distance relationship myself. In the past, I've had people say the same thing to me about being too young to love someone. My boyfriend and I did end up breaking up after dating for eight months and I became depressed. I thought nothing was worth anything anymore. However, after some time apart, we got back together and we're so in love. It'll be two years together on February 7th.
What I'm trying to say is, if you truly love someone, you love someone no matter how old you are. If you believe your relationship is strong enough, keep it, treasure it and always remember how you feel about that person in mind. Don't stress and screw what other people think, it's what you think that matters!
Hope I was able to help!

Your age is just a number nothing more don't listen
to what others have to say if you don't think your
too young to love the person your with then that's
the only thing that matters don't allow others to
influence you or tell you otherwise i wouldn't break
up with him seeing as your relationship is strong
yes of course if you break up in the future it will
hurt you it's normal but given time you'll move on
i think you should continue to stay with him seeing
as you feel so strongly about the relationship and
you feel confident about it plus it's strong :)
