How long should you date before you have sex?
I just started dating this boy and we were talking about sex. We're both virgins but both really horny and interested in doing it some time. The thing is I don't want our relationship to be all about doing it. I want to have something strong and lasting. How long should we wait to have sex then if we do actually end up doing it? For the first time I think 6 months to a year. Then you know for sure there not just in it for the sex. 6 monthsish is how
long most people wait. But I think it also depends on your age and when you truly feel ready.

my rule for myself is a year. and i did wait a year. for me i feel like if this guy really loves me hell wait until i know im ready to give up my virginity to him.

4-6 months is a good length to wait, especially if you don't wanna ruin something that could be great. a lot of people make the mistake of giving it away too early and in the end it totally ruins the relationship. my boyfriend and i waited about 4 months and we're still together, after 2 years.
