Fresh wounds means smoking anything, including cigarettes, can irritate or otherwise hurt the healing tissue.
Peeps answered Tuesday August 31 2010, 8:35 pm: You should refrain from smoking anything for at least 4 more weeks to allow your body to heal fully. Oxygen depletion in the bloodstream occurs when inhaling smoke. This causes you body to slow the healing process, build up heavier amounts of scar tissue, and makes you more susceptible to infections. Blood clots are probably not as a severe risk now since you've already had stitches removed and should be healed enough to not have settling blood in the area as much now.
