Is it just something that some people get luckily,or can it passed on from your parents? My dad eats a LOT of junk,he eats a lot of hot stuff too and a lot of salt. he puts salt on everything and he eats all day. He also goes to the bathroom a LOT. He weighs 150 pounds and it looks like he cant gain more than that. Hes been eating like this for years, he eats wayy more than me and he doesn't gain anything.
I think its lucky to have high metabolism cuz u can eat all the junk you want and gain no weight. I would love to do that. How does he have high metabolism and how can I get it?

There is no way to just get a high matabolism. But there are little tricks to increase yours.

Just because your dad can eat whatever he likes, it doesn't mean it's a good thing. Being thin doesn't mean you are healthy. It's very bad for you to consume large amounts of salt and junk food. Your dad probably suffers from digestive problems and tiredness among other things.
A method to boost your metabolism is to eat little and often. For example, instead of eating three large meals a day, eat five smaller ones. This doesn't work with foods that are high in salt, fat and sugar though. It's also important to eat breakfast as it kick starts your metabolism for the day. Contrary to popular belief, skipping meals doesn't help you lose weight, it slows your metabolism down and actually has the opposite effect.
