Is it absolutely (scientifically?) important to take it at around the same time every day? Or is that just what they tell you so it's easier for you to remember to take the pill?
karenR answered Thursday June 3 2010, 7:05 am: The biggest reason for taking it the same time each day is so you will remember to take it. Its always good to take any type of medication at around the same time of day to keep the levels of that medication more or less the same all the time.
Just so you don't panic though, once you have been taking it a while, if you miss one or don't always take it at the same time, its not a big deal. Your chances of getting pregnant decrease the longer you take it. Women who take it for many years and then decide to start a family may even have difficulty getting pregnant. Waiting later can actually decrease it's effectiveness.
stephybabe answered Thursday June 3 2010, 3:19 am: you are supposed to take it at the same time so your body gets used to the hermone. since it is a hermone that is being put into your body you need to have it around the same time everyday otherwise it throws your body off.
