Feel dizzy while showering

Question Posted Saturday May 15 2010, 7:35 pm

Iv'e noticed whenever i'm showering and shaving my legs i get dizzy and my body starts to sway back and forth like i'm going to faint..i become light headed i usually eat before i shower so i don't go into the shower on a empty stomach when this happens i get worried cause there's a possiblity i could faint while showering...

Why is this happening to me? Should i
tell my parents and my doctor? What can
i do so this doesn't happen anymore?

I know that most of you aren't doctors
but any advice would be helpful...

could just be the way you are standing if you are leaning over the blood rushing but maybe try to sit down to shave. if the only time you feel like that is showering i wouldnt worry to much

Cool the water down. I'm a fan of really HOT showers too. They will cause the symptoms you describe though. So just take showers that aren't as hot.

That happens to me also. I have to sit down while I shave or I'll get dizzy. I'm thinking it could be the hot water cause I feel that way once I step out as well. It could be the blood flow cause it rushes when you bend forward.

But if sitting down doesn't help tell your parents and see what they say. Good luck!

if you stand up and bend over while shaving, it could be because your brain isn't getting enough blood flow from the awkward position your body is in. try to shave while sitting down, or prop your leg up on something. it may help.

take care
