Question Posted Thursday April 22 2010, 12:43 am

I love my boyfriend and we have unprotected sex all the time. Hes ready for, and wants children but we are not married yet, and I am completely not ready to have kids right now. I want to finish college first. So every time we have sex, he never finishes inside of me because I don't want him to. I should be on birth control but I do not have insurance right now and cannot afford it! Problem is I know he really wants to finish inside of me and I want him to especially in the moment because it is such an intimate, close feeling, I just don't want to get pregnant. Anything I can do? We hate using condoms by the way and never do. Please no lectures about that, I'm not a little kid having unprotected sex, getting pregnant would not be the end of the world I just am not ready for it at the moment.

Seeing as your already having unprotected sex as you said no point to give you a lecture you already know about so here is what you do go to wal-mart go to the condoms section somewhere around the condoms they will have something called VCF which is "vaginal contraceptive foam". it is a spermicide which kills his sperm but not the stds read instructions and use. Hope you two enjoy it.

You can go to your local planned parenthood, health department or a free or low cost clinic for a pelvic
exam/pre pill exam.

No insurance is not an excuse for not being on birth control pills. I don't know of any insurance that will pay for birth control pills anyway. I've always thought they should, but they don't.

Yes, you fucking can afford some generic pill.

You can go to planned parenthood to get a proscription. Google them and search for the one closest to you. My wife pays 9 bucks a month for no-baby pills. You can afford to pay 9 damn dollars to not have a kid.

You deserve a lecture. You're acting like an idiot, and just because a baby wouldn't be the end of the world doesn't mean you couldn't fix this problem with the tiniest amount of actual effort and thought.

Get on birth control, wait a week, and have at it just like every other responsible monogamous couple.

Just because you're not 14 doesn't mean you're not being irresponsible. If you cannot afford birth control then you most certainly cannot afford a child.

Birth control can be obtained for as little as $10 a month from either Planned Parenthood or your college. That's much cheaper than raising an unwanted child, or hospital bills during pregnancy, or an emergency abortion.

Other than using the rhythm method (where you try to time sex to sync up with your menstrual cycle - it's not a very effective form) or pulling out, there is nothing you can really do to cut down your chances of getting pregnant if you're not using any contraceptives.

If you are not a little kid having unprotected sex, then you should already know the answer. If you are not ready for a child, you need to be responsible and seek assistance from an agency in your area. There are hundreds of places that provide birth control at little or no cost to you. Having a kid might not be the end of the world, but it means a very changed one. If you sre not ready for that, please get assistance soon.

Pulling out is extremely ineffective- about 1/3 of people who do it will become pregnant, since precum has sperm in it. If you go to Planned Parenthood, you will be able to get birth control either free (in my state, you can get it free for a year) or very cheap (around $15/month). Otherwise, chances are, you will end up pregnant.
