Birth Control and daylight savings..

Question Posted Sunday March 14 2010, 12:24 pm

Okay,
I know this is easy but I get confused.
I normally take my bc pill at 1;00pm
but because we moved the time forward
should I take my pill at 2:00pm instead?
or should i just keep taking it at 1?
what is the best idea?

I am sexually active, I don't want to take
chances thats why I'm trying to figure this out..

hahaha this question blew my mind! I take my pill at 1:00 too and I've still been taking it at 1:00 even after time changes so I'm sure it's fine! I love this question though I never even thought about that!

If you like to take it at 2 PM because of the time change, that will be just fine, and it will also be fine if you keep it at 1 PM. As long as you are 1 hour before or 1 hour after, you are totally fine with medicine.

Yeah basically, just do it at whatever time is easier for you to remember. 1 hour isn't gonna mess with the hormones or anything.

A one-hour difference isn't going to change anything. And changing the hour back and forth may throw you off.

It's keeping a schedule that's important.

Best idea would be to take it at 2pm. Better safe than sorry :)

The doctor may say that you should take the bc pill at the same time everyday but its not a have to. It is perfectly alright to not take it at the same time. To keep it at one is fine, but if it bothers you than take it at two, but you don't really have to be so percise about it.
