Why am I not losing weight?

Question Posted Wednesday February 24 2010, 6:14 pm

Ok. So i'm joining the military soon and i need to lose 6 pounds to join. I have 5 weeks to do so. Sounds easy right? Well it's not. I've been on weight watchers for 2 weeks and i haven't dropped a single pound. I haven't cheated on this diet and it used to work for me before but now it's not. What am i doing wrong? I'm female, 5 feet 1 inch and 145 pounds. Please, I need good advice. My time is running out!

You need to exercise. You can't expect to drop some pounds just because you're eating healthy. The body does not work that way. You need to eat good AND exercise.

Start doing some sit-ups and go for a run.

Get your heart rate up, you can't just rely on diet in a situation like yours. Best way to burn fat is to do cardiovascular exercises that keeps the heart pumping fast. I.E. Running/jogging, Swimming etc

I suggest you jog for an hour 2 times a day for 4 days a week.

Stress doesn't help, if you want to lose weight and you have been on a diet, make sure you are regulating it and the times that you eat. Late at night (as you prob know) is not the best time to eat, but just relax and also your metabolism might've slowed if you are cutting down on the amount of food that you did eat before. So, sosrry to not help that much but if u regulate your diet as much as you can then you should be fine :)
