majors? i am currently stuck between three majors i REALLY like.
i aws thinking of double-majoring in college.
it'd either be between mechanical engineering and architecture or mechanical engineering & graphic design.
is this a good idea? none of these majors are too connected (except engineering and architecture, they're VERY loosely connected because both use physics). i'm worried that if i do choose to do this, i'll be severely overworked. especially if i choose to attend an ivy league school.

It seems that you haven't even reached college yet. It's a good thing that you have an idea what you want to major in. When you get to college you might take a few classes of some of these majors and decide that you absolutely hate it. Before I went to college I had in mind the kinds of majors I wanted to major in (three or four), but I took a few classes in some of them and found out it was something I wouldn't enjoy. Most college students change their major at least twice. So don't worry about this too much now, it'll be figured out as you go along. Don't overwork yourself, it will slowly wear you down from semester to semester. I hope this helps. ]
In engineering, one generally doesn't double major. I'm in electrical engineering, and it's a 40 hour week as is.
A lot of schools will offer a major in engineering with a minor in social sciences or business, but not a double major. ]
