If you have major stress factors in your life right now, reduce them or get rid of them. Find more time in your day to reflect on your life, etc. Pick up a new hobby. Find things that make you happy. This is the best way that I've found to determine who you are and where you're going. When life gets crazy you start to react oddly and your personality seems like it's changing but all you need to do is step back a bit and reflect. I hope this helps. If you figure out your intrests that totally helps with figureing out the real you. Also, you can be whatever you want. Do you want to be a bitch? Or do you want to be nice? It's up to you. If you don't focus on finding who you are and just focus on being you and being who you want to be it will help you figure this out. Just stay true to what you know you are. Don't try to be someone else. You'll know if you are trying to fit in with people. It's hard to say be yourself when you don't know who you are. BUt a lot of people at least know a little bit about them. Don't change from what you already you are.
Advicelady6798 answered Saturday February 13 2010, 9:31 pm: I spent years trying to find myself but the secret to finding yourself or your true self is to try out different things. I went from scrapbooking, to writing, to playing musical instruments, to teaching, and also giving advice. I tried out different subjects and did different things just to find out what I love to do. I figured out that I love to help others but I want them to learn something as well so I am studying to be a music, spanish, and english teacher. Once you find that thing you love to do, the personality that you have been searching for will develop from it. The best thing to do is explore and try out different things until you find your knack. orphans answered Saturday February 13 2010, 3:37 pm: obviousely it would be nice to be a nice, open minded person. But to truly find the REAL you, you need to identify your opinion on things, without outside interferance. As is, not what you WANT to believe, or not what your friend or family believe, or what they want you to believe. That, will truly be you. Of Course your ideas and beliefs will be shaped by society, as well as your friends and family, and that is infact you, but only when you can escape what people WANT you to believe, and what YOU WANT to believe, will you find your true self.
What are you like with people? are you bitchy? now dont try to be bias, if you act in a bitchy manner accept it, dont criticize yourself or anything. So what are your opinions on things? are you truly open minded? Just sit down, with a nice drink, and think. Think about things that pop up into your mind- what you want to find answers to.
i hope i helped, and i hope i didnt make it too complex. I really like your question, and if i didnt really help, i hope you message me so i can answer you properly. good luck :) [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]
