Well to be honest you can't do much right now! It wouldn't be right or apropriate to mention you have feelings for Alex especially if he's in a relationship. Think about how you would feel if you were in his shoes...or if you were in his girlfriend's shoes? Would you be okay if you were in a relationship for two years with someone you cared about and then randomly your friend tells you that they love you? If he's happy with the girl you just have to let it be. I was with a guy for a bit and then we broke up...because of distance. He started this other girl for 5 months...and believe me for those 5 months it was hell for me. I loved him and because I did I wanted him to be happy so I let him be happy no matter how much it killed me. My advice would be don't tell him it wouldn't be right!

Hello Nice to meet you and sorry to say but this is going to suck big time for you. If his friendship means a lot to you you have to let him be with his girlfriend AND be supportive. The bad news is it will take longer to get over him because your friends but there is a silver linning. You won't lose your friend and you'll be stronger after this. Plus he and his girl break-up and you've been super supportive you'll get closer afterwords....maybe even really close ; ) Good Luck

If you're Best Friends and you guys are really meant to be, it will happen. Until then, is he happy with his current girlfriend? If they've been together for two years, I'm guessing so. There's really not much that can be done besides either wait for him (and you really don't know how long that will be) or move on and have fun.

this may not be what you want to hear, especially from a complete stranger, but someone has to do it.

if you guys are bestfriends, theres probably a good reason for it. you guys wouldnt work out as a couple because you guys are just too close and just know too much about one another. everybody has that relationship, its not just you, so dont ever think that.

yet, sometimes there are those rare exceptions. sometimes, bestfriends are the perfect solemates for people. they can act themselves around them, and they know everything about them, they're easy to please, and they've known each other for quite some time, so the relationship is just easier then starting out from "scratch" with someone you dont have a closer bond with.

wait to talk it out, maybe when him and his girlfriend arent so serious.
