You should go talk to your dentist.. My guess is that you have TMJ syndrome (Temporo mandibular joint syndrome). I have it and I used to go to a physical therapist for it.

I also have this and I went to both the doctors and dentists, this problem involves your jaw which has to do with teeth but then again depending on the person it could have something to do with bone structure. with me my bone was growing odd and scraping the other bone causing a click sound. But my younger brother has an issue with his teeth and his teeth were mis illined, so just to be safe see both it is for your own good.

hey, i had this last year. it's called TJM (i forget what it stands for) but whenever you open your mouth wide your jaw pops and it hurts. go get it checked out by a doctor...i had it for almost a year then it kind of just went away on its own. but going to the doctor/dentist is your best bet. it really doesn't matter which one, they're both doctors really. they could probably tell you alot more about it and might be able to prescribe you something for the pain.

well im not a doctor so im not trying to diagnose you but 3 years ago mine started to do the same thing but mine also would get locked open ( i couldnt close or open it anymore for up tp 10 minutes at a time) i went to the dentist and they said I have TMJ. I forget what it stands for but its what some people considrer "lock-jaw" and i aked if you can have it without your jaw locking and they say yes. When I went to teh ortho. they said that I had severe TMJ( which is usually heredity) and they told me to think about getting invisaligns to realign my teeth to help my jaw. Two years later (now) my jaw still hurts occasionally but not constantly like it did before. Also I had tension headaches bcause of a nerve running along my jaw line.

I hope this helps. I would go to the dentist and start from there. And my ortho. said that if my jaw still hurts later on then i might need jaw surgery.
