TeenSoup answered Monday January 25 2010, 3:39 pm: If you aren't their friend, and they set it to private, nope. They set it to private for a reason, and the only ways to see it are the following two;
1) Become their friend on Facebook. Obviously this might be something you don't want to do, but it is the only LEGAL way to see their status. Facebook won't release any information that their members don't want strangers to see. The status then is obviously for their friends' eyes only. Try to respect their privacy.
2) The only other real way to do this is to hack into facebook's database, but that is a SERIOUS federal crime, and you violate every single user's privacy. That's 350 million people with violated privacy, even if you didn't specifically look at them.
It's also VERY difficult, very expensive, and very illegal. So don't. xD You probably wouldn't have, but I just wanted to put that out there.
I don't promote either options, (especially not 2!) but if you are VERY desperate, number one might help.
