i really like Callie's hair in the Real World Reunion, where she has the pink in her bangs. how can i achieve this in my own hair? i have side-swept bangs and semi permanent dye so i plan on doing it myself, but how can i make it look like good streaks near the ends and not just random pink chunks?
19/f
First of all, you need to be able to seperate your bangs from the rest of your hair. This is difficult, but necessary. You can do this with towels or other materials. Then, seperate your bangs into tiny little ponytails. 8 should be good for thin streaks, 6 for medium, and 4 for thick. Then dye the ponytails you want! Easy as that. Make sure you hit the roots, too. It will look more natural.

Hey all, 22/f here. I posted this question:
http://www.advicenators.com/qview.php?q=576604
I finally decided to stop trying to talk myself into it, and ended the relationship.
Now I hurt =(. When I broke up with him, my heart physically hurt...but anyway, I did it. Now I keep wondering if I made the right decision.
I'm scared to death of the withdrawal I'm going to feel when I start to miss him. I haven't yet, because I don't think it's sunk in that I ended it.
Has anyone else ended a really long relationship and dealt with it successfully? I know to keep myself busy (that won't be a problem, I'm taking 12 credits in psychology and working 37.5 hours a week at two jobs), but is there a certain way to think about the whole thing that might help me?
Thanks, everyone.
I know it's hard, and you might be feeling withdrawal symptoms, but a relationship where you are being manipulated and you are playing mind games is certainly a harmful relationship. Imagine this; you went this far into, and think about how hurt you are. If you went even further, think about the pain then - you can't avoid it. And if you went till the very end where you are abused, mistreated, and fed with mind games, not only will the ending of the relationship hurt the most, but the feeling of being manipulated will stay with you forever.
Certain relationships are the emotional equivalent of rape, and you were escalating into it. You were doing the best thing for yourself, and you must remember that - when you hurt, it is the body's way of telling you not to do that again. When you fall off a skateboard, break your arm, poke yourself with a needle, it's your body's way of saying 'No, don't do that!' But when your brain controls the pain, it is often unreliable and can make you regret everything.
There will always be guys - about 3.5 BILLION of them! This guy was giving you, essentially, emotional rape, and the other 3.5 billion will probably not.
You are MUCH better off without him, withdrawal or not. You'll be paranoid for a bit - don't be. Not all men want to manipulate you.
Good luck, and let me know how it goes.

On facebook or myspace is there any way to see someone's status when their profile is private? Any way at all?
Thank you!
If you aren't their friend, and they set it to private, nope. They set it to private for a reason, and the only ways to see it are the following two;
1) Become their friend on Facebook. Obviously this might be something you don't want to do, but it is the only LEGAL way to see their status. Facebook won't release any information that their members don't want strangers to see. The status then is obviously for their friends' eyes only. Try to respect their privacy.
2) The only other real way to do this is to hack into facebook's database, but that is a SERIOUS federal crime, and you violate every single user's privacy. That's 350 million people with violated privacy, even if you didn't specifically look at them.
It's also VERY difficult, very expensive, and very illegal. So don't. xD You probably wouldn't have, but I just wanted to put that out there.
I don't promote either options, (especially not 2!) but if you are VERY desperate, number one might help.
Hope this helps!

Can you tell when was the last time someone logged on to facebook? is there any way to be sure?
Thanks!
Facebook promises in that fashion not to reveal that kind of information about others, such as time spent, activities done, and who/what they've searched for. Basically, the only way information is seen about someone is if they post it themselves or let an application post things about what they do (farmville, etc). They only release the info they want to release, showing when you were on is currently not an option to put on your profile.
The only real way to do this is to hack into facebook's database, but that is a SERIOUS federal crime, and you violate every single user's privacy. That's 350 million people with violated privacy, even if you didn't specifically look at them.

A good way to see is just to open your chat all the time and check it regularly. If they appear on your chat, it is obvious that they are online. You can also post a message on their wall asking them to message you next time that they are online.
However, the last time is something impossible to tell unless the person tells you themselves. Sorry about that.
Hope this helps!

I'm looking for some shampoos without sodium lauryl/laureth sulfate in them. Preferably, I'd also like them to be paraben-free. I'm having a harm time finding SLS-free shampoos though. I would like specific brands of shampoo that are SLS-free (and, if possible, paraben-free also) if anyone knows of a few. I'd also REALLY appreciate it if someone could let me know where to purchase these hair care products at because I am unable to find ANY in my local stores. As you can tell, I am having a very hard time finding a hair product that is bested suited to my needs! :(
http://www.natural-health-information-centre.com/sls-free-shampoos.html
^^^ Great list.
http://www.newdirectionsaromatics.ca/sls-free-shampoo-base-p-596.html
^^^ Make your own.
http://www.slsfreeshampoo.net/
^^^ A nice site.
If you can't find any in your local stores, order or make your own! I also use some of it, but I use a friend's homemade.
Let me know what happens.

I like one of my best friends we are now in separate states i cant stop thinking about him i email him often vice versa i think he likes me i dont know but i avoided a big problem by telling him i was told he likes me i need to tell him how i feel but how can i? i am 12 people think these problems dont matter but they do. i ask him who he likes he says people.i ask what girl he says girls. what do i do?
For me, being twelve was not too long ago, and I understand what it means to really like someone. I had a friend that moved away and I really liked them. I think I loved him, in fact. I cried and cried, and I didn't even get to say goodbye. I still feel lucky, however, because one of my best guy friends is still in touch with them, so I am trying to get a hold of them. You're lucky that you're still talking to him.
I know it's VERY hard on you, and I know that people underestimate 12 year olds. (BTW - You might want to reconsider being on this site, it's for 13 year olds and up, so come back later.) We still have very complex emotions, even though you aren't quite teenagers yet. I'm sure you're very mature because you still like this guy even after he moved. You aren't shallow, I'm guessing too.
I have a question - is there ANY way that you will be able to see him? Do you want to? If you are probably going to see him, that's great - but if not, take a chance. If you probably won't see him ever again, tell him. Tell him how you developed feelings for him from the last few months that he was here. Tell him that you understand if it's awkward, but that you still are his best friend, and those feelings will never change.
He might not reply. He might reply - with a big email talking about how much he likes YOU too.
I have to go, but definitely tell me what happens!

I'm getting braces and I hear they are really painful?
Can anyone explain to me what's going to happen and if it hurts?
Oh my! First of all, congratz! I know braces are a tough decision, but think of the wonderful smile afterwards! It's effing awesome! Anyways.
When I first got my braces, I was nervous about everything! First they're going to take impressions of your jaw by putting some mold on your teeth. Cold, but okay. Then they'll take some pictures- remember to look nice! Oh yeah, and x-rays!
Then, the faithful day! We get ze braces on! First, they'll put on the metal bands at the back of your teeth, on you molars. This is the worst part of it, sorry. =/ First, they'll put on the bands, then take them off. Then put them on again. You're going to bite on an instrument which pushes up the bands. Don't be scared. It doesn't hurt that much.
Then, they glue on the brackets. This is byfar the easiest thing in the world. Sit still, and let them do the work.
After that, they'll ask you what colour of rubber bands you want. I started with light blue and light purple. Not too noticable, yet funky! Choose whatever colours you like, though. This might hurt a bit if you have low pain tolerance. They'll wind the bands around the brackets using pliers. They do this every adjustment, as well.
Then, they'll stick in the wires. Remember to tell them if something sticks out and pokes you! The orthodontist can do much more than wax. You'll probably start with a flimsy wire, so don't worry if it seems loose or floppy. You'll move up to stronger wires soon.
Voila! You're done! You have wonderful, shiny braces on, which will stick with you for two whole years!
Now is the worst! The pain is SO effing bad! It does hurt like hell the first days.Take advil, lots of advil, and soft foods like soup, jello, ice cream, cereal, tuna, very soft bread, mashed potatoes, and such. After a while the pain will dim.
Brushing your teeth will take much longer! I brush my teeth first with Vitality, then a manual brush, then a special brush for between the braces, and mouthwash! Woohoo! Oral hygiene is important.
While you have braces, you're going to avoid caramels, corn on the cob, a full apple or such (SLICES ONLY!) and other sticky stuff. I always chew gum though! It gets stuck in your braces once in a blue moon (or is it NEW moon?) and usually only a tiny winy weeny bit that you can rinse out.
Never chew on stuff like pencils, any metal wood, in other words, STICK TO THE EDIBLE STUFF! Don't suck your thumb either!
Adjusments are short, and usually consist of changing the wires and rubber bands. It takes 5-10 minutes. Yay!
In other words, braces AREN'T scary. They're just another pain in the derriere! =D
Good luck! Tell me how it goes.

it dosent hurt to pee but after i pee my vagina gets all tingly and like a sore/throbbing felling ? idk please help
It may be an infection or an illness, but if you have been sitting for a long time, it also can add to it. If it continues for a long time (2 months) it's best to go to a doctor and try a urine test.

If your symptoms match these, head to the doctor as soon as you.

Hi, I am 17 and I have naturally curly hair which I love. It is shoulder length when it is dry, it is a type three curly hair, and it is a medium brown color naturally. It goes into tight ringlets/corkscrews all over when it dries. I was wondering if anybody knows of a way I can put up my hair so that it looks fancy, or cute, or a way I could put it up for grad. Different ways, since I cannot seem to find any good hair updo's for us curly haired girls. You could suggest some awesome clips/headbands/bows/accessories if you know of any nice ones :)
Here are a few images that look most like my hair that I could find: (in the first link, it is the second pic as you can probly tell) :p thanks!

I looooove curly hair down with a nice headband or hairband. Especially the scene ones with the bows. Those are cute.
It is rather hard for this type, but one thing I like is the following;
Pull your hair back, and then on one side, let diagonal waves fall almost on top of your eyes. It's similar to this; http://www.curly-hair-styles-magazine.com/images/prom-curly-hair-updos-04.jpg
And while looking for a picture to describe it, I found this; http://www.curly-hair-styles-magazine.com/images/prom-curly-hair-updos-06.jpg
The website is http://www.curly-hair-styles-magazine.com/prom-curly-hair-updos.html
It's specifically for prom, but it could work! Let me know how they look on you. Send me a pic, my friend has the same problem.

I have braces and they tried to use elastic bands to fix my overbite but it didn't work. they also pulled out two teeth.
how is that going 2 help me? help! i don't want to have ugly teeth!
Your overbite is most likely caused by either crowding, heriditary problems, or a jaw misalignment. It sounds like you have crowding or jaw problems. If it's severe, and I mean you can put a finger or two between your teeth without brackets severe, then you will get headgear. Since rubber bands won't help, I'm sorry hun, but that's life. Life can be merciful though. There are two options if you want to not wear your head gear in public.
First, you can get an overhaul surgery of your mouth. If you're really unhappy with your mouth, this is a really good option. It's costly, but mostly worth it. It'll work wonders no braces, retainers or headgear can do. Your teeth and jaw with be perfect for years, and it adds a few years to your teeth retaining, if your teeth fall our because of that. It will feel unnatural and hurt a bit the next month, but wow, is it amazing!
If you think that's a bit too serious for your problem, you can choose to wear headgear only during the night and weekends. You'll probably wear it twice as long, but maybe it's worth it to you. It depends.
Oh wait! Me and my mumbo jumbo mouth! I haven't told you what headgear is! It's a device that is connected to a band around your head or neck, and some metal wires clinch around some teeth to straighten them.

And lately I've realized that've been crying a lot lately. And over the stupidest things and sometimes for nothing at all. I don't know if it could be my period. I had that a week ago and I'm done. So could there be something wrong with me? I dont know I'm just scared about it. I've been really moody around my friends and family lately. I've been bashing myself and I want it all to stop. Is there something wrong with me?
I wish I could be there to hug you and make sure you're okay, but all I can say to comfort you right now is that it is perfectly okay for your age. In fact, I still go through it.
It shouldn't have to do with your period, other than the fact that it might be stronger. This is just a phase that some of us are stuck in for a while. I know it sucks, but one thing that really makes me stop thinking about it is 'raocow' on youtube. Search him up, he'll make you smile in a very goofy way.
Let me know how it goes!

17/f, Does anyone know where I can find a t shirt that's customizable so i can put my xbox gamer tag on it, preferably a girls shirt but it doesn't have to be.
it HAS to say Modern Warfare 2 on the front...and the custom on the back.
Sizes: small-mens. mediumish? girls? haha, i don't even know my girl size...just please give me a couple options!
Thanks!
I couldn't find a custom one, but you may be able to create your own using a service such as Zazzle, or other custom shirt makers. Make sure that it is okay for them to make, because it might be illegal for that company to make money from that brand.
If all fails, go to a local ink shop/ink print and do it yourself.
Some links to non-custom shirts;

I just started dating my ex again (He's 23) and he is overweight. He talks about how he wants to lose weight because he said dating me he feels like a "walrus". Lately for a couple of weeks he's been eating late at night and the either that night or the next morning he'll get sick. Has this happened to anyone? I want to push him and give him tough love to lose weight but I don't want to offend him. I'm scared that he's going to make himself really sick or give himself a heartattack because of how he eats. Help please?
Stop him right now!
Eating late dinners is the devil's advocate. No wonder he's sick! Stop it right now and make him eat early, give him some tough love, and support him along the way.
Eating late dinners/meals = fat, sickness, decreased life span, mood swings.
So get him up and out of the dining room at night! Let me know how it goes.

I didn't exactly know what category to put this under..
Iv'e got this battery for a video game system Nintendo DS to be specific that's pretty much shot how do i dispose of it?
Do i just throw it away in the garbage or is there a special way of doing it? Please help(:
Thank you!
While you can throw out the battery, it may infect your garbage and possibly the area where your garbage is. It also will probably pollute the garbage in the garbage truck, and if a human ingests it, it is fatal.
It's always best to find a local home hardware store and dispose of it there, as it will not pollute the environment and could save the health of multiple animals.

Are breasts sensitive? Recently, I've been pinching them in order to adjust them in my bra, like I'll pinch them then pull them upwards. That night, I realized there were a few small circular bruises on my breasts and I'm positive it's because of this. Are they just extra sensitive? Or could there be something wrong with me?
Thanks in advance.:)
Your breasts are very sensitive to both temperature and pressure. Since it's winter, more blood is flowing through the veins in your breasts, expanding the tissue that is the vein.
When you pinch the nipples (especially the nipples) it is expanding even more, and may burst. Don't worry, the veins grow back VERY quickly and they are only small holes. The blood flowing out is the bruise. Now not only is the breast sensitive to pressure, the temperature makes more blood flow, the veins are tiny, these all contribute to easily made bruises.
If they are growing bigger or bumpier, or they come instantly, go see a doctor as those are abnormal.
Hope they aren't unsightly!
- Teensoup
EDIT;;
That's okay - due to the facts mentioned above, it would be slightly odd if it DIDN'T appear by the end of the day. They burst right away.

Im trying out for my highschool cheerleading squad, and i need to know the requirements? Does anyone know? Do you need to be in a certain weight class? And, also, is tossing to hand hard to learn. My tryouts are in about 2 and a half months and i need to have toss to hands, ive never done it, but i need to learn. two more things, how can i get my weight down fast, im skinny, but i weigh about 145. Im five seven, any idea's? thanks in advance
If you want, you can lose weight, but the real thing that will help you is the skill. Cheerleading is a natural fat burning ability, so work on the skill first - afterwards will come weight loss. Just remember to start 'dieting' or whatever you want to do at least a month before the tryouts, because the body takes about a month to get used to a new weight loss routine. You don't want to feel awkward at the tryouts.
Also, the requirements must not be set in stone if they aren't written out. Learn some routines and basic moves, and learn some KNOCK OUT moves too! Work on it everyday for 30 min, and you'll be ready to go! I know it's difficult to find the time everyday, but it worked for me.
Tossing to hand is difficult to learn, but easy to practice. A lot of great cheerleading sites can easily teach you how. Here are some that I have used;

my school has a valentines day dance coming up soon and I'm going to ask my boyfriend. The only problem is, idk how. He already knows I'm going to ask him and that it's coming from me. I was thinking about making a tshirt with fabric markers in glow in the dark, and black light markers (so it shows under a black light) I'm almost 90% sure I want to use black light and glow in the dark, because it's really original and seems cute.
Here are some additional info- he has swimming after school, I have his locker combo, I don't know his parents that well so I don't think i could do anything in or at his house. He get rides from his friend, so I can't do anything on his car. I am pretty good friends with his friend.
Here are my ideas. Tell me what you think.
-hang the shirt in his locker and attach and battery powered
black light on top of it.
-write little riddles and hide them somewhere and eventually have him find the shirt with a black light around it
-glow in the dark stars? Maybe hang them up somewhere and say "go outside and look at the stars with me?"
-maybe after his swimming meet or practice, have the tshirt hang on my car with the black light on it
-maybe ask him to hang out and then blindfold him
and take him somewhere and show him the tshirt
-perhaps some cosmic bowling and have a worker there give him the tshirt?
-maybe have a remote control car and drive it up to him, carrying the shirt inside it?
Here are the only problems
-my friends are not going to be able to help me with this, so I have to be able to handle it by myself
-i don't know if I could do it during the week day because he has swimming right after school and then has to do homework and his parents are strict about that.
Any ideas??! THANK YOU!!!
The black light idea is rather creative, but the shirt thing seems a little curious for me. I don't know - maybe I'm not open minded enough?! :P
I really like the message idea, like 'look at the stars with me.' Maybe something like 'My stars will shine if you dance with me.'
I'm pretty cheesy, but I like the idea of a glow in the dark message.
Good luck and let me know how it goes!

There is this guy i like and he is pretty funny. However when we talk we tease eachother and are exact opposities. Its almost like the movie THE PROPOSAL and THE UGLYTRUTH.
Im just wondering if funny guys thinks intelligent, and witty girls are interesting and attractive. I really lke this guy. Please answer. it would be a great help. Thanks :)
Sure - it shouldn't be a problem at all! They are funny, you are witty. If you have a sense of humor, all should go fine.
Just remember that you can't be a 'intelligence nazi.' Correcting him will only tick him off!

well i just wanted to know about how to put a tampon in do you put it in where the pee comes out or put it in the one that is close to the taint?
To simplify it, it goes in your vagina.
To explain;
The place where your pee comes out is much too small to fit a tampon. If it was, there would be a much wider pee flow, wouldn't there? ;) There is another hole, /wider/ where you fit it in. It is also where sexual intercourse happens, if you would understand that. It is better to ask a doctor or your parents, however before putting a tampon in for the first time.
Hope you understand!

k, so there is this really cute girl in my history class, im a year older then her. I just moved to Montreal,Canada not to long ago, I waited a while then tried to add her on facebook but she declined. I havent really talked to her cause i dont know what to say to really catch her attention and intrest, im good looking but i think she is more attracted to personality, so what personality characteristics does the average girl find attractive in a guy? Im just affraid she might think im a creep or something and i really dont want that.
Be her silent knight in shining armor. We love being paid attention too, and men who think we're cute really give us an ego boost. Don't stalk her, though. Be there when you can and talk to her. Don't flirt yet if she obviously declined your invite. Pretend it never happened, and be generous, nice, charming.
Be yourself. If she's nice, she'll respond. Simple as that.
