Go to community college in SJ for two years. Why put unneeded expense and stress on others, including yourself? Then you can transfer to SD.

I think if you really want to go to that school then you should go early stay with your cousin for a wild find a decent job and find a cheap apartment or something. and if you are going to be to busy just talk to your cousin and the fiance and ask them upfront what they think

I agree with your mom. If your cousin is gettin married, she will want to be starting her marriage throughout the next two years (and from then on).
I think you should go to the community college in San Jose and transfer later.
While you are attending college in San Jose, you can save up for an apartment or for a dorm for when you transfer to SDSU.
At the same time, you can visit your cousin and her husband every once in a while and start to get a feel for the area than.
Good luck! Hope I helped. If you ever need anything else, I'm here!
