easilyfixed answered Monday January 4 2010, 9:13 am: Healthy foods Consist Of:
Chicken, tuna, oatmeal, sweet potatoes (no other type of potatoes), whole wheat bread (only type of bread you should have), non-processed lunch meat, non-dry fruit (don't overdo fruit - fructose generally goes to your liver instead of your muscles) cheese, nuts, bacon, cottage cheese, eggs, vegetables, steak (ideally lean to reduce calories).
Eat five small meals a day. Making each meal approx. 400 calories. Always aim for 1600 per day. Stop eating after 7pm.
Cut out soda all together. Even diet, sorry. If you need that carbonated spark, try seltzer water. Or just plain old water/tea. It's all I drink, really, and I feel fantastic.
As for exercising, weight training has tons of health benefits. I suggest looking into it. Even it's just 4 pound dumbbells you're using. It fights different kinds of cancer.

orphans answered Sunday January 3 2010, 8:49 am: stuff like..pasta with a healthy sauce or something. If you like burgers, then grilled chicken breast is good. Use little oil to cook it in. Olive oils are good however. Chicken breast is high in protien, and low in fat, so its very healthy.
home-made soups are good. Use a base of lots of vegetables, a good stock. Whatever you want.
Breakfast should be important. Healthy cereals, fruit, oats etc.
Drink loads of water, or something to flavour the water thats low in sugar if you dont like water by itself.
Make sure you excercise aswell. A mixture of cardio, and light weights. Your BMI is in the healthy class range, so you're doing good. Try not to fall into the underweight range.
theres lots of recipe ideas on the internet. Just google healthy recipes. Oh sushi and sashimi is good if you like it. High protien, low fat (usually). Hope i helped :) [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]
