Leg Pain (Muscles) Hi.
My husband's legs hurt him a lot. They feel like they are on fire most of the time. When I massage them the muscles feel like sand almost. We've been trying to figure out what it is without having to go to the doctor.
Any ideas?

He needs to see a doctor. Burning pain in the legs could be a sign of sensory nerve damage. Its especially important if he is diabetic. Its not my intention to scare you, but it could also be a sign of multiple sclerosis.
Only a doctor can let you know for certain if this is a medical problem. It is something that he needs to have checked out soon. It may be nothing, but don't take that chance. You'll both feel better if a doctor tells you that. ]
It could be nothing more than extremely overworked legs. Does he workout? Or...it could be due to one of a multitude of problems that affect the legs. If his condition doesn't improve soon, I wouldn't hesitate to see a doctor to rule out anything serious. ]
What you want to do its to try and massage his legs using ice. Ice can cool off that "fire" and numb his legs from the pain. A lot of rest is also needed. He probably over-worked himself.
If none of that works, you should really consider a doctor. You're husband might have something very important to tend to.
Let me know how things work out :) ]
