Question Posted Sunday December 20 2009, 8:21 pm

for christmas along with a present im gona try and make my boyfriend a cd. i can do singing, guitar and piano for it by just recording each seprately and overlapping them. i taught myself how to do all three and im not good but im not bad. he loves metal music and pink floyd and journey type music so i wont do too girly of a song but maybe like parachute or evanescence? im 15 and a girl with a lower but not to low girl voice. what are some bands and songs that my voice could better match?

Fireflight is the first band that comes to mind. There lead singer is a girl but they don't really sing any girly songs. I've looked up a couple and the only song that i've found that doesn't require a different tune on the guitar is "Wrapped in your arms". It's a very easy song to learn and has a good meaning.
Sorry i just noticed you wanted it as a Christmas present; well if you make another cd for him its a good song.

The thing with evanescence is she sings really high so if you have a mediu low voice then you will ruin your voice singing in a range you don't belong in. Lacuna Coil is a good band for your voice range. If you want to do some songs that are a low range of evanescence then my immortal would be a perfect fit.
