Do you believe in love? Are you truly happy with your life?

Question Posted Friday November 6 2009, 5:28 am

I believe in love. What I don't believe in is that people these days even know what true love is. I've asked some people to give me one couple that is happy and none of them could tell me any. No one is happy these days. No one wants to do anything to change that either. I mean when I go to the doctors or anywhere people are so bitter because their obviously not happy doing what their doing. I mean my parents always say I need to go to college and get good grades and stuff. I know I should go to college and I need to to get a good job, but what if I want to be happy? I want to travel, and have fun, and be happy doing what i'm doing with whoever i'm with. Am I wrong? It seems to me like everyone has given up on trying to be the best that they can be, on being happy, on true love, doing the job they WANT to be doing. I just want to know your oppinion on the subject.

hay love...I understand where you are coming from there are some people that are like that and some just let time tell when it right and I happen to know a couple who's been together and very much happy with each other and that is my own uncle and aunt in law....you are also intitled to what you think but always remember that there is a world full of others who think different and think the same as well as feeling different and the same....I hope to hear fromyou again

I know what you mean, love seems to be dying out. My passion has always been to teach and I am told I will be great at it. My mom always told me to follow my heart but I have other family members who think otherwise. Based on the economy, alot of people are giving up on their dreams. Also high schoolers are getting pregnant before they even graduate and it is really hard to earn a degree when you are a sing full-time parent.

My first book that I got published actually talks about the difficulties of love and the things that happen along marriage. You find yourself contradicting every thought and if you think you are in love with someone then it alters your decisions altogether. It is hard to live a life that you want when you have the other partner to consider. I may be wrong but that is what I think.

I know what you mean it seems as though not a lot of people are happy. No one can be happy all the time I'm sure you know I feel as though during winter time its rather a depressing season which sometimes puts a lot of people down. Sometimes we have to do thingswe may not want to because later on it will help us in the long run. I still have to go for my bachelor's even though I don't want to whatsoever but I know it will help me later on. You're not wrong for thinking that you should think of the positive and keep your head up! I try to be positive as much as possible but sometimes its hard to. Striving to be happy is definitely goal I need to set because being positive will get you far.

Well for one with the economy people aren't picky about jobs. It's hard for people to be happy nowadays. Especially with the state the economy is. Millions of people don't have health care. If your sick and can't go to the doctor, that will affect your happiness. And yes I believe love exists. I love my family very much. My parents have been married for almost 30 years and are still deeply in love. They still like to cuddle on the couch and call each other all the time just to say they love each other. More and more jobs are being shipped off to third world countries. That will certainly affect one's happiness too. I know many many people's jobs who moved overseas or layed off and have lost their homes, and their families. It's hard for people to be happy these days. If you have the opportunity to go to college, I would go for it. You will definitely not regret it.
