copier

Question Posted Wednesday October 14 2009, 9:56 pm

my friend copies everything i do. like, i will make up a word and she will use it all the time after she hears me say it. or i will wear sweats to school and the next day she will wear sweats. my mom said don't look at it in a negative way look at is as she looks up to you but i hate it! my outfits are my style and i dont want anyone taking it. nobody reply "just talk to her and tell her how you feel" because she is the kind of person where you can freak out on her and she will just laugh or she will change her attitude that day and then go back to her normal self the next. help, please! im at wits end!

i can so relate to you!!!! its good you are trying to find a way to solve this before it gets out of hand, mine got so bad the person started trying to steal my boy friends!!!.....what you can do is hope that karma comes around and someone does the same thing to them lol...or another way is to tell her indirectly if you have had someone else copy you, use them as an example....like saying "don't you hate it when your friends copy you?!!! it is so irritating...its like they have no personality, blah blah" something that will make her know you are talking about her, and will make her feel so bad that she stops...maybe this way she will realize what she is doing....but i hope this works for you! haha..its what worked for me, the karma and telling her indirectly and basically giving her examples of what the person that copies you was doing.....but goodluck! I hope she stops soon, because a competitive relationship is not so good

Keep changing your style and confuse the shit out of her. Then when she gives up, go back to your old style. Hahahaha, you probably won't do that, but it'd be hilarious to see how pissed off she got.

Um, this is hard. Sometimes people just end up accidently taking each other's words and crap just cause they're around each other so much.
Just take a "break" from her. Hang out with other people for a while.

Always workssss. :D

Had the same problem in like sixth grade. Only it was a tad bit worse.
You may not like it, but I found the only way to stop it
Is to stop being friends with this person.
Cut off all comunication.
Tell her you're no longer going to be friends with her, then ignore her.
Eventually, she may get the hint and stop. She may not.

I understand how utterly annoying this is.
And there may be better ways to handle this.
But this is how I did, and it worked fine.

I now talk to this girl again, but we are no where near as close as we used to be.
Keep that in mind.
